«The listing is inaccurate there is no spa, the bbq was so rusty we could not use it. The pillows are so lumpy you could not sleep on them. Only two beds were made up for us despite there being 4 people. The listing didn’t say you share the location with the owner.»

«Loved the central location within easy walking distance to the estuary, walkway on the ridge with great views and handy to Wood St shops with groceries, coffee and a range of eateries. A basic kiwi bach but appreciated the full kitchen and good-sized frig/freezer for self catering and the comfortable beds.»

«The stay was good but, the place could have done with a bit more cleaning and airing out. It smelt stale and there were cobwebs in the bedrooms. I fixed the back shower by screwing up the nut so the shower head would stay up. There was a need for better lighting in the kitchen so we replaced the missing light bulb with a bulb from the back bedroom. We left a note on the table for the owner.»

«The parking lot is very spacious and the garbage is comfortable. Also, there was a Ruakaka stream in front of the garden, so it was good as a healing point. If there is a heat pump, it will be a recommended accommodation for four seasons that I really want to visit even in hot summer and cold winter.»

«Loved our stay in this modern country cottage situated in a secluded valley. Peaceful and private rural setting. Really enjoyed the bush views from the spacious deck while enjoying a glass of wine. Brand new appliances and facilities were an additional bonus. Highly recommended!»
