«The lodge had a very nice location close to a waterhole that many animals visited to drink and even close to Victoria Falls centre . The feeding daily of the birds was also nice. The service level at the hotel was low and it seemed very unorganized in all bars and resturants. The price level was high compared to the area . Rooms were fine and clean.»

We loved it... from the accomodations to the central gathering place, the food and friendly staff, the ambience and security measures, plus walkable to Vic Falls. As with most anywhere, could use some upgrades, especially in the few ensuite bathrooms (and maybe some pop-in screens for the windows to allow enjoyment of the cooler night air), but even the least-best about this place was acceptable... and the best-best more than made up for ...

«We had a wonderful time staying at Shongwe Oasis. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming and made sure all of our needs were attended to. Our room (honeymoon suite) had a comfortable king size bed with mosquito curtains around it, large bathtub and both indoor and outdoor showers. The pool is a great place to get some sun, although I would recommend using it in the morning or lunch time as it does get leaves and seeds falling in it throughout the day (cleaned in the mornings).
