Lovely location, renovated with stye, understated, clean and modern (in an ancient city). Small but adequate ground floor room - had no view. Very nice basic hotel, would stay there again. I give it three stars not because it is bad, just a great basic 3 star hotel. Only real complaint is the bed, adequate but not the best qulity.

Had 3 nights at Salute Palace in Venice for leisure travel. The hotel was fine for a short stay, but nothing out of the ordinary. We would prefer 2 separate beds and selected this on Expedia, but the hotel never received this information.

Classy, comfy and beautifully located
The room was spatious and beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. The view from the two small balconies to the adjacent canal so evocative. The staff was very helpful and gave us excellent suggestions where to go to eat and drink. I’d love to come back and for a longer period!

Good but one problem.
Good location and nice building. Most of the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was great. Room was nice and spacious. Only complaint relates to the walls, they must be made out of paper. I could hear everything the people in the room next to me were doing, I could even hear the faintest yawns, just seemed strange.

Trip for two
Comfortable place to stay and has a delicious restaurant next door. Highly recommend the multiple fish dishes. Location was nice of the hotel and quiet at night. The room was much smaller than expected or photo shows. The giant height of the ceiling helped but must be counted in the square feet. Difficult to fit four luggage pieces in it. We arrived at 1:30 pm and couldn’t check in until exactly 4 pm. Fresh water in the rooms, clean linens but the safe didn’t work and wasn’t bolted down.

What an amazing stay at the Sonder Venice. Our room was fabulous, the area was easy to get to and very quiet which was perfect for our family stay. The hotel staff were amazing, very professional and helpful especially Blessen who checked us in. We will definitely be back again, thank you Sonder for making our stay in Venice so exceptional.

Mooi boutique hotel op mooie en rustige locatie
Dit is een heel fijn hotel op Dorseduro. Het ligt erg rustig, aan een ¨canal¨. De ambiance is ¨boutique hotel¨. Zeer gastvrije ontvangst, met als extraatje gelijk bij binnenkomst water met sinaasappel om even de dorst te lessen. Ik had een mooie, ruime en hoge (3 meter) kamer met uitzicht op de tuin van de buren. Alles was erg verzorgd en in goede conditie. Extraatje: Koekjes bij de koffie / thee onder een stolp. Het was er heerlijk rustig slapen. Prijs-kwaliteit erg goed.

First off, the staff were wonderful - in a trip where we missed our first day due to a fight cancellation and the ACTV went on strike one day, everyone at the hotel was happy to help us, offer advice and provide their insight. Our room was smallish (to be expected in an old building) but well presented, very clean, and comfortable. Everything we needed it to be! We had breakfast at the hotel once - it was tasty enough, with a good range of hot and cold options from fruit and pancakes to salamis, cheeses, to bacon and eggs; with juice, teas, coffee and even Prosecco available to drinks. The location was handy - about 10/15 minutes walk to Ponte dell’Accademia, another 10 on to tourist spots like Piazza San Marco. You could also hop over on a bot very quickly from the Salute stop, which also has boats going all the way up the grand canal. The nearby Peggy Guggenheim museum was brilliant, and we found ourselves walking that direction most of the time towards the shops, bars, restaurants and cafes of Dorsoduo and San Polo.

Im Zimmer 101 fehlt es Möglichkeiten Kleidung und schuhe zu verstauen. Für eine Übernachtung könnte dies noch akzeptabel sein jedoch nicht für 4 Übernachtungen.

Es war wundervoll und wir hatten ein so bezauberndes Zimmer in der 2. Etage zum Hof. Die Lage ist zentral und trotzdem ruhig und perfekt zum Erkunden der Stadt. Ein aussergewöhnlich schön gestaltetes Hotel mit vielen geschmackvollen Details. Das Frühstück ist sehr reichhaltig und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Nur der Check-in funktioniert online leider nicht, aber wir bekamen sehr freundliche Hilfe vom sehr netten Personal...danke sehr!

This hotel is in a great neighborhood (Dorsoduro) of Venice that is very picturesque but not as crazy as San Marco. The canal this hotel is on is breathtaking! The hotel itself is also very pretty and is kept up really well. The rooms are quite small but that is to be expected for Venice. The room was spotless so being small wasn’t an issue for us. We did have a slight issue with the air conditioning - in Venice electric is quite expensive so many hotels require you to use a key card to turn the air conditioning on which is fine- but our AC was not working for quite a while on a very hot day (you also can’t open the windows in Venice or you will be eaten by mosquitos) and it was borderline unbearable. However, the staff was very helpful in getting our AC fixed quickly and once that issue was resolved it was a great stay. The rooms are also quite private - I hardly ever saw or heard any other guests so if you want some privacy in a very crowded city I would highly recommend staying here.

Absolutely lovely place to stay in Venice. A little walk away from all the action but very lovely place to be. Quiet when you want and busy when you don’t. Breakfast was great and the staff were very helpful. Definitely would recommend.

Der Check in war kompliziert. Link funktionierte nicht. Obwohl ich bereits in der Rezeption war musste ich mich per Handy anmelden. Das Zimmer war winzig, bot keine Möglichkeit etwas abzulegen, keine Schublade, kein Schrank. War völlig überteuert. Die Lage dagegen ist sehr schön an einem kleinen kanal gelegen. 5 Minuten zum vaporetto.

Great Neighborhood- Modern Room
This hotel was pleasingly modern, especially compared to other Venice options. My room was bright and had lovely views. It was quite warm for October and they had shut down the AC. I didn't think that would be a problem as it was cool at night so I just opened the windows. On the plus side the neighborhood is lovely and quiet at night, the negative was mosquitos (there are no screens on the windows). My bed also had a very loud CREAK every time I got up and I hoped I wasn't bothering other guests in my jetlagged state. I stayed near Rialto on the same trip and I really preferred this neighborhood (Dorsoduro). Even though it's a bit further from St. Marks it is much more "real" and elegant. The Sonder Salute is steps from the Guggenheim and very close to both the Accademia bridge and vaporetto. Also near Spirito Santo and Salute. I've stayed in Sonders in the US and I wish they would improve their communication. The whole rigmarole of having to create an account is annoying--and even though I have the Sonder app I had to create a new user account for some reason. All of that makes more sense if you stay at a property with no front desk but this property is just like a regular hotel with front desk staff and luggage storage etc. Because of the communications from Sonder I started to worry that there was no staff at the hotel--so it's misleading. Overall, a nice hotel for a good price, despite my quibbles.
