Had a great stay, but when it came to a gluten free breakfast, they left much to be wanted. We had sent a notice ahead that one of us was a celiac, and even though they assured us it would be no problem, all they served were some disappointing biscuits. Other than that, the hotel is at a great location, with friendly staff.

Cosy hotel in quiet part of town
E-mailed the hotel to inform them about arriving late, and they promptly answered and offered alternatives to get to the hotel from the airport. Good service and a cosy hotel in a quiet part of town. Would stay here again. Short walk to airport express boat service. Nice air-conditioned room with view towards garden in the back. Nice firm bed and venetian style decor in the room. Quick and easy wifi that worked well.

Hyggelig første besøk i Venezia
Hotel Pausania har perfekt beliggenhet i bydelen Dorsoduro, i gåavstand til alle steder og begivenheter man ønsker å besøke i Venezia. Bygningen ser ut som et gammelt bolighus, og gir en opplevelse av autentisitet. Personalet er hyggelig og serviceminded og hotellet er rent og tiltalende. Froksten er enkel kontinental, men god. Stille og rolig beliggenhet med gode spisesteder i nærheten. Hotellet er lite og enkelt og kan anbefales på det varmeste.

Top location, great service
Had a great stay for 2 nights in Venice. Very good service from all the staff. Well done - I would definitely recommend this hotel. The location is perfectly located in the Dorsoduro.

Bra hotell med bra läge i Venedig
Bra läge på hotellet. En bit från Grand Canal, ca 5 min promenad från hållplatsen för båtarna (Vaporetto). Tyst omgivning. Lite små rum men det räckte för två personer med stora väskor. Bra frukost och väldigt trevlig personal. Bra städning.

Good location, very clean
I liked the location, it was a little further from the craziness of the St Marc Square area but it gave the full Venice experience, and it was about 10-12 minutes walk from vaporetto stops. Message the hotel in advance if you'd like a room like on the pictures and say you want a 'Fresco room' and they will try to accommodate you. Breakfast was tasty but not exactly abundant. Only cold food. The place is very clean and the inner patio is a good place to relax after a long day of walking.

Very good hotel!
The room was spacious and comfortable but the bathroom was a bit cramped because of the bidet. Overall it felt clean but the water kettle seemed a bit dusty so I didn't use it (it would have been nice to make myself some coffee though). There was an AC and a mini bar which was very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I needed to leave at night when it was dark outisde and the man who worked in the reception was very helpful, he told me which way was the fastest and safest to the bus station and also gave me some cookies. The location is very good and felt very safe. It's close to Piazzale Roma where the buses, trains and boats are.

Great unique stay. Super close to everything and great staff members. We checked in when Carlos was at the reception and he was amazing, answering all our questions and giving the best advices.

Das Hotel an sich war nicht schlecht (Frühstück hatten wir allerdings nicht). Eine neue Erfahrung war für mich, dass unter einem Standard”Zimmer” auch ein Zimmer unter dem Dach ohne Fenster (nur mit einer Dachluke) verstanden und angeboten wird. Freundlicherweise hat das Hotel das Zimmer in ein “echtes” Zimmer mit Fenster getauscht.

Hotel Pausania is a very well kept 3* hotel in the charming quarter of Dorsoduro, where some of the best museums and galleries are located. The vaporetto stop is Ca' Rezzonico, where the Alilaguna airport boat can be reached. Don't miss the opportunity to visit Ca' Rezzonico, an 18th century noble palace where you can have a glimpse of the richness of the Republic in elaborate carvngs, paintings and authentic furnishings. Brocaded walls, silken coverings, a walk-in closet with delicately hand painted doors can be seen up close. There is a cafe where you can enjoy a reasonably priced sandwich and drink overlooking the Grand Canal, a premium in Venice. The front desk manager was genteel and helpful in all matters, including help with luggage, as there is no elevator in this authentic Venetian former residence. Restaurants are plentiful a short walk away on Piazza San Barnaba. Ristoteca Oniga was my favorite, with delicious Venetian specialties, friendly service and rustic ambience. Or, turn left as you exit the hotel, cross the little bridge and head to Piazza San Margarita, a huge square lined with good, affordable restaurants, gelaterias and several ATMs. The hotel serves a good breakfast overlooking a pleasant garden. The cold cuts are above average. I would return in a heartbeat, but bring a wash cloth because they are rarely supplied in this category hotel. The towels, mattress and bedding were excellent, however. A great choice in the quiet heart of Venice.

Great hotel
Helpful staff. Very nice room. Pretty entryway to the lobby and the upstairs entry way was extra pretty with ceiling murals and chandeliers. A few sets of stairs to climb to our room, but there was a porter for suitcases if needed. Good breakfast choices and yummy cappuccinos. A bit further away from main areas. I would stay here again.

Personnel agréable, chambre correcte sans vue, mais au calme. Le quartier est très bien, loin des lieux trop touristiques et pourtant à proximité de tout. Le PDJ est sobre, la propreté des sanitaires sommaire, la clim ancienne ... pour le reste Venise fait la magie.

Nous sommes ravis de savoir que vous avez aimé notre personnel et la calme de votre chambre, mais c'est dommage que lors de votre séjour vous n'ayez jamais mentionné que la vue de la chambre n'était pas à votre goût ainsi que le petit déjeuner, ou si vous avez rencontré quelque problème avec le nettoyage, nous aurions pu remédier en changeant de chambre ou en procurant ce que vous avez aimé pour le petit-déjeuner, si possible. We are happy to know that everything was fine during your stay, and referring to the plugs it is strange that you did not find it on your room: in all rooms there are multiple sockets with 3 normal sockets and 2 USB sockets that we have installed precisely to make our guests' stay easier!
