Et helt greit hotell godt plassert i Venezia. Vennlig og hjelpsomme ansatte. Ikke et hotellrom du oppholder deg lenge på utenom å sove, men hvem vil vel sitte på et hotellrom i Venezia? Godt opphold for tiltenkt funksjon. Forsøkte ikke frokosten.

Bra hotell.
Fint hotell med veldig god beliggenhet. Gangavstand til det meste. Enkel, men helt ok frokost. Rent og ryddig.

As you expected in Venice, property is very old - 500 yrs old - and room is also very old. However, they did their best to make it clean and did some remodeling on bathroom. Staff was nice and very friendly and helpful. We didn't have any issue with hotel and room itself - simply it is old and outdated but has a large & clean room. They offered breakfast option but we didn't take it as we has another plan to have breakfast elsewhere. Around facility, a lot of shopping and dining avail. Very close to San Marco and Realto bridge is also walkable. Location is the key when you are visiting a city as tourist.

Querida Anna Maria, este es un hotel histórico detrás de la Piazza San Marco, donde no es posible instalar un ascensor. Lamentamos que no te haya gustado el estilo veneciano con telas y alfombras... y a pesar de todo, la limpieza se hace a diario.

Absolutely great location in a fabulous little square! Would definitely recommend. Hotel was a bit out dated but had everything you needed. Staff were friendly and helpful.

De locatie van het hotel is perfect. De wijk Castello is rustig, waardoor je niet wordt overspoelt door toeristen. De kamer waarin we sliepen was ruim en de badkamer was schoon. Alleen alles was gestoffeerd en gedateerd. Het bed lag hard en de muren waren dun waardoor je in de nacht de buren hoort die bijvoorbeeld naar de wc gaan.

Great location if you want to be near San Marco square and the San Zaccaria Vaporetto stops. Just a few steps from a small square with multiple restaurants and shops. This is a great choice if you understand it is a three star hotel.Clean, well maintained and accommodating staff. The 10 euro per person fee for a cold breakfast was not worth it. Full english breakfast available around the corner at reasonable prices. Note: if you book directly with the hotel breakfast is included.

Very clean, well maintained. Staff great. Breakfast included ONLY if you book directly, otherwise 10euro each and not worth it! Right around corner is Sommariva Gelateria for excellent breakfast plus several other restaurants that serve breakfast. Very close to San Marco square, and major stop for vaporetto to any where. Even with large cases you can walk from vaporetto to hotel. We would stay here again.

Hotel Castello is very conveniently located to many top attractions. The breakfast is very relaxed and has many choices, as well as a great value. The coffee was outstanding, as well as the croissants and the service. Our room was quaint and quite small. The bathroom was updated and very nice. There is nothing frilly about the property. There is no elevator. The staff kindly relocated us to the first floor to avoid hauling our luggage to the third floor. Certain staff were more adept at English than others, however all were considerate. There are many dining and shopping options within an easy walk. There were limited electrical outlets in our room. Our room was in need of some updating, with the exception of the bathroom.

This was a perfect place. Close to the train (5 min walk). Close to town; shopping, eating and tourist attractions. We even rented a scooter and toured Amalfi Coast. Beautiful and we will be back!

Hotel was super old, but I loved it cause it fits the vibe of Venice, super accommodating staff, giving us port adapters for charging as we’re from Canada, it was clean and woke up to church bells in the morning, they offer a nice breakfast if that’s what u want and it’s right in Venice city so it super convenient to get around

We're sorry but we don't understand what inconvenience this could cause.1) First of all the reception is open 24 hours,2) they are very heavy keys,3) in case of emergency the receptionist has the situation of who is in the room or outside

This is a great and affordable option among the central sights of Venice. The room was comfortable and clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and there are AC units in the rooms. It was really nice being able to easily run home during a day of sight seeing to pick something up or drop something off without feeling like we were wasting time. It’s nice that breakfast is optional as we preferred going to the many great cafes for breakfast that are around, though the breakfast seemed an affordable option too. The street is quiet, especially for such a busy area, and the bed was comfortable. The one down side is there isn’t much communal space in the hotel so we were primarily in our room when we were at the hotel, and the rooms are fairly small— but this I imagine is a common thing in Venice.

It was an OK stay. It is in really good area. The place is not bad, just really old fashioned, bathrooms are nice, rooms are tiny, and weird smell in some areas. For me, my husband, and 1yr old it was hard to get around in the room. Staff was nice, just difficulty communicating since some did not know english. Lots of stairs, and no elevator, this was difficult since I had a stroller. I probably would stay somewhere else if I would come back, to try something hoping it can possibly be better.
