Great stay
The hotel is located near shops, restaurant and sightseeing. Near by is The Canada Line you can take from the airport and in to the city. We stayed in a Gold room, the room was big and the bed was a dream. The staff was helpfull and welcoming.

Find me a worst hotel than this :) Recently stayed at the hotel for 3 nights to attend a concert. Rooms are not at par with a 2 star hotel. Here's what happened hotel staff threw my food delivered at reception for back to back two nights worth hundreds of dollars. During my check-in night, I pre-delivered my meals and to my surprise I only got one package out of two and bashed the uber eats support for feedback. Guess what hotel had it and delivered melted desserts packets next day in front of my room :D Surprisingly, It doesn't end there. During the concert night, my delivery guy got late delivering the food and I requested him to follow up at the reception lobby because I was getting late for the concert. I planned all of this so that I don't have to find food at midnight. Voila, the hotel staff threw my $200 worth of food without even a courtesy call or text claiming safety concerns with food. Haha, the same hotel kept my food for a day and delivered it next day with melted desserts on the previous occasion. Hotel was seriously understaffed and doesn't even care for customer experience. Everyone at the front desk was super rude about the experience including the night manager Mr. Mohammad. This is the first and only time I heard a staff make this excuse. If the hotel has a policy on food safety, why isn't this put on a bold letter on reception/front desk and why do food orders keep piling at your reception. I have always loved the exterior of this historic hotel. We stayed in a hold level room which I highly recommend. It’s worth the extra cost to have access to the gold lounge which includes morning buffet breakfast, noon treats and evening appetizers which could easily be a full meal. The honor bar is also a nice touch with a good selection of beer, wine, and hard alcohol to make your own drinks. It’s a great central location. Rooms are elegantly decorated but because it is a historic hotel the bathrooms are quite small. The pool is a nice amenity however it could use a bit of updating. I would definitely stay here again.

We had to switch rooms because the heating was not working properly in the first room. Then the second room would not warm up sufficiently, so they gave us a portable heater to use for the night. The "explanation" was that it was an old hotel. I guess that's why the daily room rate was "ONLY" $400CA! They did comp us for half a night for the first night. We expected more from a Fairmont property.

The room was quite dated and the carpeting was dangerous. It looked like it had not been stretched in years. The lumpiness of the carpeting going into the bedroom is a definite fall risk. Additionally, the staff was very kind, but did not follow up with us on two issues as they indicated they would. The room was quite loud as well. The banging sound coming from the garage was terrible and woke us up very early on more than one occasion.

Had a fabulous experience at the Fairmont this weekend! We had a king bed room with an awesome view. The staff were so kind and treated us like we were royalty! Highly recommend getting room service for breakfast. The room didn’t have a fridge besides the mini bar, however we were able to get room services to bring us a mini fridge. Room was super clean and comfortable. Will hopefully we coming again soon!!
