This striking studio apartment for 2 is situated in the charming village of Usseaux, recognised as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Situated on the ground floor, this rustic escape with rough stone walls and arched ceilings is a unique, unusual base for a couple who want to explore this lovely region at any time of year.

The spacious open-plan living space is made up of a kitchen, dining room, seating area and bedroom. The furniture is an attractive combination of modern and antique pieces. From the entrance hall, a couple of steps lead into the kitchen/dining area. Here, there is a dining table for 4 next to the kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a cooker hob, microwave, fridge and an electric kettle. The seating area, furnished with a cosy sofa and a flat-screen TV, is on the other side of the room, next to a historic wooden manger.

Sleeping
The double bed is tucked around a corner, separated from the main living area by a bookcase.

Bathroom
Off the entrance hall, the bathroom has a shower, basin, bidet, washing machine and WC.

Location

The beautiful village of Usseaux is a charming holiday option at any time of year. In the heart of the Orsiera-Rocciavrè Natural Park, there are stunning hiking and mountain bike routes on your doorstep through forests and alpine meadows. For skiing and snowboarding, head to the resort of Pragelato (12 minutes). Part of the Via Lattea, skiers have access to 400km of ski slopes and trails, which suit people of all levels.

The neighbouring village of Fenestrelle (5 minutes) is famous for its mountain fortress and attractive cobbled streets.

There are some good restaurants in Usseaux, Fenestrelle and Pragelato. For self-catering, there are several grocery stores within a 15-minute drive and the weekly market (Sunday mornings) in Pragelato, where you can find fresh local ingredients.

Turin airport is a 1-hour and 20-minute drive from the apartment.
