Moderne gårdshus med utsikt over Bodden

Rügen is best known for its dramatic cliffs and busy swimming beaches. But those who venture to the west of the island will find much quieter surroundings: the vast natural landscapes of the Ummanz peninsula are dotted with picturesque hamlets. There, nestled between the Focker Stream and the Kubitzer Bodden, lies Achim's country house.



The historical building was completely renovated and offers you a lot of modern comfort; but this in no way stands in the way of the coziness of the house. On the contrary, the open floor plan in combination with the individual furnishings makes for an inviting coziness.



The old open beams and the newly installed skylights transport the natural light of the landscape directly into the interior and create a bright ambience with a lot of flair. From the upper floor you have wonderful views from the sun terrace to the water. If the weather is bad, you can enjoy a view over the fields to the horizon from the reading corner in the gallery. You can also spend time in the combined living and dining area, which is warmed by a crackling fire in the fireplace.



In the kitchen with the red floor tiles you open the door wide to let in the fresh morning breeze. Sitting in the beach chair on the terrace with a cup of coffee you look into the large natural garden. From the tree bench you can watch beautiful sunsets and enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings. For active nature lovers, the area offers scenic bike routes through the wonderful Bodden landscape and some of the most beautiful swimming spots on Rügen. Also worth seeing are the wild, 43-meter-high cliffs of Cape Arkona, which are only a short drive away.
