Meget stilig hotell og en kjempebra frokost . Fikk en følelse av å dra tilbake i tid. Hotellet var rent og pent . Sjarmerende knirking i gulvet . Anbefaler dette hotellet !!!!!

We have visited this hotel before. The location is great. The staff are helpful and friendly and there is free parking outside of the hotel. The food including breakfast is decent. However, this hotel is desperate for refurbishment. It looks old and really isn’t fit for purpose anymore. The floor boards are so creaky. There is no soundproofing whatsoever and you can hear people talking in the corridors as if they are in your room. The bunk bed for my child was also so creaky so every time he moved in his bed we woke up as it was so loud. Even the bathroom door was creaky. We will back but after it has been refurbished.

Generally v good, pleasant helpful staff. Food very good. No complaints really. The place could do with a face lift but that is part of its charm. Will likely stay there again next time in Torquay (Torquay also needs a face lift and it is trying!)

受付のスタッフの対応がとても良かった。 質問にも笑顔で迅速に回答してくれた。 朝食も満足できました。アガサクリスティーが泊まった部屋も見学できて、ラッキーでした。 海側の部屋からの景色は、最高でした。 また、泊まりたいです。

We had a wonderful experience at this property. The location is perfect. We traveled via train and the station is literally right across the street. As for the hotel it has wonderful ocean views. It is the perfect starting point for a walk along the waterfront. I am a huge Agatha Christie fan so this was the perfect place to stay and start our experience. The hotel is very grand - like the name - but also very inviting and comfortable. All of the staff were wonderful. Highly recommend!

The beds were very comfortable and the room large. The food at breakfast was great but the coffee was barely warm all 3 mornings we were there. Food in the bar was tasty. The floors were really loud when we walked and the floors above us were really loud when the guests above walked…. I mean really loud. I could not get to the bathroom in the middle of the night without waking my husband. It poured one day of our stay and rain was coming in through cracks around the window frame. The most disappointing part of our stay was our lunch was stolen or misplaced. A family member prepared us a delicious lunch to take on our very long train journey. Evening staff put it in the fridge for us as it was too big for a mini fridge and morning staff could not find it. They looked in all fridges in the hotel, it was nowhere to be found. It made our long train journey even longer.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The room was very good, clean, comfortable and well equipped, staff pleasant and friendly. The high spot was breakfast which is really excellent. Lots of choice and very good quality.

The room was perfectly comfortable and clean, but looking rather "tired" - patches of plaster on the walls where repairs had clearly taken place, and non-matching tiles on the shower surround where it looked as though the shower valve had been replaced.

Lovely building but rooms have paper thin walls with a noisy neighbour! Dinner was like faulty towers! Our pate starter was given to other diners after we had ordered it! Half of the mains were not available, and then they tried to charge us twice for the meal!

Overall nice hotel
Hotel main reception and bar lovely, I would say our room overall was ok although a little outdated and in need of a touch up as some stains on the chairs and walls etc made it feel a bit unclean, location wise was great and the staff were lovely and helpful very friendly!

Large hotel centrally located for all Torquay amenities. Clean, free limited parking available.Helpful and friendly staff. Only criticism I found the double room on the small size for a couple.

Hotel in the communal areas is lovely. Entrance and bar areas are beautiful. Corridors on the other hand are getting tired and have holes in the carpet. The rooms are nice but could do with updating. No double glazing so noice from the road can be heard. Also the shower system is inadequate. Staff are professional and polite and I can’t fault them at all.

Lobby, reception, bar and dining room looks great. Very tired upstair passed first floor. Need touch up. Stayed in room 103. Shower not easy to use have to take it down to turn on and off, extraction unit not working. Hand rail only one can be used as other to close to wall. Room fine.
