7. Private 200-Acre Estate Near Starved Rock

Ottawa

«A true hidden gem! This property is one of a kind and provides the perfect vacation home. Whether you are looking for space for the whole family, fishing, exploring nature, or just some serenity this is the place for you. It’s super close to starved rock, off road trails, and boating rentals. Worth every penny and the hosts are extremely accommodating and kind! We have spent the last two years taking our family vacation here and we are already looking forward to the next year.»

«I booked the house for a work trip for three weeks. The grill was filthy, rusted, and the electronic ignite didn't work. It took two weeks to get a replacement. When the replacement arrived, the old one was left there as well. No grill brush provided to clean it and no cover to protect it from the rain. The carpet on the stairs and upstairs in the bunkbed room was dirty with dark spots. The outdoor patio furniture was dirty and torn. Housekeeping attempted to launder it but ended up throwing the ...
