«Cabin on the water was lovely & the balcony a great feature although needed an umbrella & seat cushions. Unfortunately the bar & terrace area was taken over by a golf presentation so a little disappointing as very limited free seating & early closing for bar & food provision. Huge stain on the bedroom carpet, bathroom door hard to close & a very noisy toilet seat! Plenty of parking & a quiet night’s sleep. It was close to our planned event but wouldn’t stay again.»

«The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The shower was small but mighty! All members of staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed a very tasty and filling breakfast in the morning. Check-in and check-out were all completed via a text message. «We have stayed here 4 times for overnight stops. Everything is lovely and clean, staff, for the most part are pleasant and professional - I say for the most part - on our latest visit, we ordered a wine spritzer and specified soda, not lemonade and a half pint of pepsi. We got a spritzer with lemonade and a full pint of pepsi but it was soon sorted. «Stayed in the Moon Gazer gypsy caravan. It has ‘lived’ but is cute, quirky and the bed/bedding was lovely. Quiet and private with a bird song orchestra we had lovely weekend drinking locally brewed ale/cider and listening to local ‘turn up and play’ folk musicians. Superb weekend all round.»

«Everything good. Only minor issues were the shower had no hooks or shelves to put shampoo or shower gel or flanels/scrubbing. And the cooling fan in our room was super noisy, so couldn't be used. As I say, minor.»

«Stanbrook Abbey Hotel is amazing in all respects. It’s historical and very attractive set in extensive grounds. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and comfortable. The staff are lovely and very helpful. I only had one meal in the hotel and it was excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel, it’s great.»

«Stayed in the 'Dunlin room' Very poor lighting in the corridor. Wallpaper patched up poorly in the corridor by the bedrooms. Noisy extractor fan in our bathroom.
