Hoteller nær The Mere At Ellesmere Country Park

«Aside from a member of staff called Kane who was exceptionally helpful, our experience for a birthday break was beyond disappointing. We initially stayed at the sister property The Swan in Tarporley where staff were outstanding but at The Lion we were greeted in what can only be described as very patronising, unwelcoming and brusque, by who we understand to be Beth. We were shown to a room that was classed as executive but had clearly had a major leak in the bathroom as paint was peeling away ...

«What a lucky find. Situated in a beautiful area of the Welsh countryside. Stayed overnight weather was awful but the property was cosy and kept to a very high standard. Breakfast was freshly made & very tasty. A big thank you to the hosts Heather & Neil who made us feel welcome. Will definitely be returning. Julie & John.»

«Property and car park was very easy to find, had plenty of instructions on how to get to the property and gain entry well in advance Hotel itself is small and cosy room was well maintained and very clean, bed and bedding was clean and comfy and bathroom was well stocked We had a lovely stay here.»

«Property was excellent however had to chase the company for check in arrangements on both phone numbers provided.»

«Would have been a 5 star review but I asked the first night if staff could kindly remind other residents to move away from the front steps of the building whilst smoking kate at night as it comes into the bedroom window. Second night I had to ask 3 different gentlemen to please move away as their smoke was keeping me awake and affecting my asthma. Two were very apologetic and moved but the 3rd I got abuse from and it was not nice😞.»

«Veldig hyggelig hotell med superhyggelig personale! Restauranten trekker opp: Deilig frokost og veldig hyggelige lokaler. Romslige rom med vakker innredning. Vi ankom midt i en hetebølge, så savnet aircondition og kjøleskap på rommet. Bortsett fra det, veldige fornøyde!»

«We had the best stay! Our room was lovely and cosy and the property itself has been beautifully renovated. Breakfast each morning was wonderful and we very much look forward to staying here again.»

«It was fine,nice surroundings and quiet»

«Perfect location (two minute walk to daughter's house); excellent breakfasts, particularly the porridge; fun pub downstairs, loved a cappella rehearsal.»

«Loved our stay here. Very quiet room, clean and cosy. Fabulous staff, especially Shannon. Good food too. Highly recommend.»

«Extremely spacious and well equipped with one exception, given the unusually warm weather—no AC, some fans, and no screens on windows that do open. The garden has a knockout location right on the river and some rooms also have this gorgeous view, including the huge bathroom with freestanding tub. There are however a lot of stairs. Kitchen is on lowest floor. Entry and dining and parlor are on street level, and there is no bathroom on that floor. So it’s a trek from kitchen to loo. The top floor ...

«Cooks Flat is a great find in Wrexham! Tranquil, peaceful and beautiful walks on the property. What a treat to stay on a private estate and visit the Victorian kitchen and games room. I appreciated the welcome gifts and hospitality from the hosts too. Would definitely stay again next time I’m in the area.»

«Bra hotell med mye sjarm. Eldre stil å slite rom men godt renhold å det hele har sin sjarm. Kommer tilbake! »
