Hoteller nær The Dart on Dartmoor

«It was a wonderful, yet too brief, one night stay. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Our meal in the informal dining/pub options was nourishing and delicious. The room was clean, large, and bright. We were able to get a room facing back garden and with views. A big pot of tea and a freshly pressed coffee were very nice at breakfast. Local walks on the moor, and to the quarry & rocks and were fab.»

«Lovely big room & big bed, plus plenty of parking. Great food & wine too.»

«Lovely location in super grounds. Warm welcome and excellent accommodation»

«Lovely owners who were very welcoming. Right in the middle of town and almost next door The Prince of Wales pub. Very good breakfast. Lovely room and nice comfy bed. Highly recommended.»

«We travelled as a couple with our dog. From arrival all staff were very friendly and welcoming and explained local walks (with a map) that we could do with our dog. The room was exceptionally well kept and clean with lovely finishes. We had a balcony looking out over lush gardens and we could hear the river flowing which was beautiful. We had dinner and breakfast both exceptionally and good value. The lounge area was lovely and great place to chill. For an old mill it looks so well kept and ...

«There is a lot that is exceptionally good about the hotel. The staff are extremely helpful , the food and drinks of high standard and the spa area very good. The only slight downsides were poor WiFi although this seems to affect the whole village when we visited. We’d love to come back.»

«Great staff, friendly and attentive. Amazing food, real ale, extensive wine list. Reminiscent of how hotels used to be before corporate takeovers»

«We were welcomed by the staff and shown to our room, which was spacious, clean, warm and quiet. The bed was large and comfortable with good quality pillows. The shower room was large, clean and modern. It was so reasonably priced, we expected a lot less!»

«This was a quick overnight stay on the drive back from Cornwall. The off-street parking and affordability were key in our purchase. Our room was clean and spacious, staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious.»

«Det er et gammelt erverdig fantastisk sted. Kan absolutt anbefales, midt i hjere av fantastiske Dartmoor »

«Good location in Dartmoor after a day of walking. Our room was well equipped. Pub nearby served nice food and drinks. Right next to hotel you can take the Nun’s Cross walk, which is about 2 h. Saw many ponies, cows and sheeps on the way as well as beautiful landscapes.»

«Store rom, nesten som en suite. Rent og pent. God mat og betjeningen hadde et veldig høyt servicenivå. Eneste minuset var at Internettet var ELENDIG og 4G dekning i tillegg dårlig, så det egnet seg dårlig til forretningsreiser der du er avhengig av nettverk.»

«Excellent location for walking the moors. Noisy road if on the ‘hill view’ side. Very dated inside. Room very grubby and needs a makeover. Staff lovely and polite. Only 2 people I saw, chef and the young man who did everything else. Parking great. Plenty of it. The park literally on your door step.»

«We were a little disappointed with our stay and are surprised by the number of positive comments. While our room itself was clean enough, the rest of the property would benefit from a serious deep clean. The carpets on the stairs were heavily ingrained with dirt. We were also surprised to find that the dining area was carpeted, which seems an unusual and impractical choice for a breakfast room. The carpet was very dirty and had a musty smell, and there were crumbs scattered around when we came ...

«The staff was amazing! The room super cute and convenient, and had everything you want. It was very clean, but the one thing that stressed me out was the mold in the shower. To me it seemed very obvious visually, and the smell was strong. It didn’t feel healthy to stay there, and I hope this isn’t the reason I got sick shortly after the stay. The room seemed to be renovated soon, so I hope this will be fixed. Too bad with such an issue when the rest of the stay was wonderful! I’d love to come ...

«Hotel does need some maintenance doing, our room had some damp in a patch in corner. flakey paint on wall in bathroom. At breakfast there was a bulb going in the main light which was flashing all the time we were having breakfast. Fire exit handle was broken in restaurant and fire extinguisher needs looking at. Food at breakfast was very nice 👍»

«Great stay in a centrally located hotel/pub - staff were excellent and food first-class. Room and the facilities were very good The village was very pleasant too! I would absolutely stay here again.»
