Very nice and very isolated, stunning views, property a little tired in places, but still very nice bedroom very nice, had dripping from gutter onto balcony which was a little annoying (room 206) apart from that nice and fresh. Would stay again if in area.

Fantastic location and lovely views. Eat in the Bar food was good and service was excellent. Very good facilities and good Gym. Breakfast also very quick and well presented and good food. Would recommend and will use again when in the area on Business.

Room was cold. Had to ring reception twice to get someone to come and see why. I good told you keep bathroom door shut ! He then went and got me an electric fire which was on all night. In the night when I opened the door to the bathroom I was freezing in there

Room was clean, comfortable and warm. Food leaves a bit to be desired in the bar, really basic and not great for price charged. Otherwise good, will return in future but would encourage a refresh in menu I’ve been coming on and off for a couple of years now and there’s been little or no change.

Breakfast was lovely, bar staff in the Lounge were very friendly. Spa could have been open a bit longer, as didn’t let you in just after 7.30pm and a double gin & tonic was £14.70, so a tad pricy. The pulled pork fries were delicious and good portion size.

Little bit tired - very comfortable
Nice comfortable room but rather tired. Executive room look into a concrete wall, marks on the carpet and carpet frays . Comfortable bed and plenty of storage . Breakfast was lovely. The man on reception was a little frosty but the female receptions where lovely .

Avoid it!!!
Looks lovely from pics but definitely some rooms dated and rude receptionist! I was given the ‘red room’ which felt like walking in a time warp from the 70’s! The carpet was filthy and had not been cleaned, dreadful lumpy bed, broken lock on bathroom door, hair in bath, and safe not working. When I called reception and politely explained and asked to speak to a manager the receptionist said twice they were fully booked and that she did not like the ‘tone of MY voice! Again I politely asked to speak to manager. Manager Gemma came and sorted the problem out, and offered me a choice of two rooms and was apologised for the member of staff. Thank you Gemma for your kindness however I will not be staying there again ever.

First time at the venue and was given an upgrade to a suite. A bit large just for 1 but very nice. Only there for 24 hours so did not have time to use the facilities. Breakfast was great as well

Second time staying here and was a lovely 2 day break. Had a nice large executive room which also had enough room for a cot and ample space to move around. Bathroom was big with both shower and bath. The room had a balcony which was nice. I feel a few comments for feedback on the room are: - updated TVs allowing guests to log into streaming services. The Tv signal was terrible which may have been partly down to the weather. - mini fridge in the room. Travelling with a baby and having food and items that needed fridge storage was hard. - update the kettles please! Breakfast had a good selection especially the hot breakfast and portion sizes were good. Comments on breakfast we were provided a high chair on 2nd day not on 1st but it was very dirty and the straps were black! I didnt put my baby in it sorry! The table we were seated at had 3 dead green flies on the floor. Some attention to cleanliness needs increasing as in the room there were cobwebs. Also asked for room to be cleaned while we went out and come back and wasn’t done. The gym is spacious and good variety however the weights need updating they are all rusted and didnt really feel like using as made it off-putting. Would be nice to maybe offer classes to the guests as there was a yoga class on and would have been nice to do but no information if we was allowed to join. Staff were all helpful and polite. Checkin and checkout was quick. Please upgrade/clean the coffee machine was very watered down coffee!!
Full English Breakfast with option of poached, fried or scrambled egg and toast. Had GF toast which was great! Good veg alternative also.
Wild boar and apple sausage and gravy from the Lounge nice and tasty.

Nice stay.
On the downside we weren't told till we had keys that the heating was out. They did provide plug in space heaters which did work. The beds were very comfy and we loved the pillows! The bartender in the pub, Ed, was particularly helpful and our fish and chips was great! Big portion of fish and delicious chips!

Just an average hotel
A very average hotel. Restaurants and food: Service was very disappointing in terms of restaurants. The first morning they did not even serve the breakfast in spite of paying in advance for the breakfast and waiting for over an hour to be served. Same thing happened on the same day evening. Had to wait for over an hour for a pasta to be delivered. Room: Air-conditioning/Heating didnt work as they were upgrading their panels. The toilet flush wasnt in a good condition and didnt work well.

Very disappointed …..
No air conditioning working. And whilst a very small heater was provided all I can say is grateful it was mid autumn as we did not require the air conditioning. Shame we were not told on booking. Breakfast was awful. It took 50 mins for my cooked breakfast to arrive and when it did it was not edible. On the table next to us was a coupe with allergies who specifically told the staff about and was still served food that could have made them unwell. This is the third time we have stayed and very disappointed. Think twice about staying - especially if you pay extra for breakfast.

Good if you don’t mind being surrounded by golfers
Nice clean hotel but very much a golf hotel so if you’re not a golfer you’ll best be OK being surrounded by groups of golfers. Coffee at breakfast is of the powdered variety ie not espresso based. Having said that the very polite waitress did go get us cappuccinos from another part of the hotel at no extra charge.
