«I love the interiors of this hotel. A mix of modern and traditional design. It is quiet, you hardly see people around (which I like), yet the staff are there whenever you need them. Our room and the hotel in general is immaculate. This hotel also has an in-house bath and sauna at an additional cost. You can reserve these amenities at the reception. It was a great way to end the day after walking around sightseeing all day.»

«Wonderful attention to details in the room. Spacious luxury in our corner room overlooking the river. Two layers of double-pane glass dampen the road noise to an acceptable level for us and was outweighed by the convenience of the location, so much within walking distance. Staff were eagerly helpful. Highly recommend overall.»

«Beliggenheten var topp.Servicen var topp. Husets tilstand og komfort var topp. Eneste minus var manglende bestikk. Etter en uke på hoteller ville vi gjerne spise litt mat i huset. Det var kun teskjeer og spisepinner og tekopper der. Servicen var super. Vi fikk låne to sykler gratis og vertskapet hjalp oss med sykkelruter og med restaurantanbefalinger. Vil virkelig anbefale et opphold i dette historiske huset for å få ekte japansk stemning.»

«The staff, service and food were exceptional. The location was perfect for what we wanted out of a four night stay in Kyoto. But, it was the staff that made the experience memorable. Some of the key spots are just around the corner from the hotel. Given the crowds during the day, it was easy to see them early in the morning or after dinner when the crowds were much smaller. If you are looking for the perfect atmosphere from a traditional small Japanese Ryoken then look no further!»
