Needs its forthcoming renovation
We stayed here for one week in mid April 2018. It turns out that the hotel is very soon to be completely renovated. And it definitely needs it! This hotel was probably the pride of Fanabe in 1988 (or whenever it was built), but it seems little has been done to maintain this status and although I would definitely say that hotel was passable as is, there is no doubt that a refurbishing is very welcome. Negatives first: the wear and tear is already mentioned above. Secondly, what I was dissapointed by, was the fact that the hotel had no gym. It says on the webpage that it has, and so I felt a bit cheated by this. Well, there WAS a gym room of sorts, but it only had one - ONE - machine and you even had to PAY to use it. The gym room also looked like it hadn't been cleaned since "1988". But what really struck us, was the fact that you had to pay extra for almost EVERYTHING. Safety box? Extra charge (fair enough, a lot of hotels charge extra for this). You want to use the refrigerator in your room? Sure, you just have to pay them 4 EUR per day! Hello, 2018? Unbeliveable. Wi-fi? Sure, 19 EUR per week. Just beware that the wi-fi hardly works in your room and you only get access to ONE device for this amount. Positives: Excellent location right by the board walk of Fanabe. Nice staff both at the desk and at the breakfast. And the new rooms (two of them were ready now for showcasing) look immense and I am sure that in December 2018, this hotel will (again) be very nice.

This is a very nice hotel. The food at the main restaurant is by best barely edible. It is a shame because the hotel is very lovely and has a chill relaxed vibe. We at most of our meals of site. I would have appreciated some carpet in my room and better towel/mini bar service. The staff is above helpful and friendly. Great ocean view and accessibility. Many local drinking spots very close by that have wonderful views of the ocean and tasty cocktails.

L'hôtel est magnifique. Nous avons eu la surprise d'être accueillie en mode VIP grâce à notre réservation suite platinium, belle surprise. Cependant nous nous sommes fait volé notre téléphone dans la zone rooftop platinium, accès limité ! Nous avons signalé cela à la réception. La seule chose qu'on nous a proposé c'est de faire venir la police pour signaler. L'hôtel n'est après cela plus revenu vers nous pour au moins savoir si nous passions un bon séjour malgré ce vol dans leur établissement. Mis à part ce fâcheux incident, nous avons passer un bon séjour.

We had a really nice stay. The reception was very nice and were flexible with meal options for the half board option. The food was better than I expected and the hotel has a beautiful view of the ocean! Would stay here again for sure.

Great hotel
We had a great stay all staff were very nice and friendly the hotel is absolutely beautiful inside and outside with plenty of entertainment at night, only thing I didn’t like was having to book a sun lounger was a right pain but we managed to get a lounger and the room the beds were very soft to soft I couldn’t really get a good sleep but over all enjoyed our time thanks

As you approach the hotel and its grand entrance, you're filled with joy and excitement. The hotel is stunning. The rooms are very comfortable. The food is delicious. The location is fantastic. The only thing to keep in mind is the crowd at the hotel - it's fully targeting the retired and not so much the young. The activities are all designed for those born in 1950s to 1970s. So if you're a young couple looking for a happening place, this ain't it! We loved it anyway because old people are awesome and a complete treat.

We loved our stay at the Princess Hotels. Friendly, efficient and helpful staff. The hotel pool areas are relaxing. High standard of cleanliness. We would recommend a Platnuim stay as the additional facilities and restaurants are superb. Great location as walking distance to beach and nearby attractions.

Little break away in a perfect hotel
Absolutely amazing hotel, second time to return with a suite upgrade which was awesome! Staff are friendly and polite and cannot wait to return next year.

Wir haben ein verlängertes WE gehabt. Da wir weder viel trinken noch essen, haben wir nur Zimmer mit Frühstück gebucht. Mussten jedoch feststellen dass die Preise für das Essen und Trinken im Hotel überrissen war. Leider hatten wir nur ein Zimmer auf Strassenhöhe und Aussicht auf das Trottoir, bzw sie auf uns….
