«Not very hacienda style design. Poor food, nothing to do beside being at the pool or in the standard pool. Beach ok to look at, but can't really use it or swim in the sea. Could be anywhere, far from anything resembling the real Costa Rica. Offering extremely expensive transportation to airport, added another 165 usd to the bill for a 45 min drive in the early morning in a worn out Toyota Lancruiser. But beautiful view to the Pacific. And reception did change my room to one with actual sea view ...

«Ocho Artisan Bungalows was fanatastic! My partner and I were there foir 3 nights, but wished we had more time!
I was a bit on edge as we got there - it's on a dirt road, no lobby (just an office), and no one had ever heard of it! so I wasn't sure what we were walkiing into.
But, we were immediately greeted by Ilsa and Seyu (sorry about the spelling) - who made us feel totally welcome.

«We stayed 2 nights. The people were amazing, always smiling and willing to help, and they recommended the best spots, beaches, and restaurants. The location was ok, not the greatest, far enough from the craziness of the town, but the beach they advertise nearby is not on the property. It is not beautiful either; it is full of sharp rocks and smells bad. The person they have dedicated to the guest was nice but lazy, in our opinion.

«We stayed in the 4-bedroom family suite and absolutely loved it. There was lots of space for our group, with a large common living area that made it easy to spend time together. The dining table was generously sized, and we really appreciated the ample seating on the balcony/terrace.
The fridge is a larger bar-sized fridge, which worked perfectly well for our needs. The coffee and tea station was a lovely touch, and having a sink in the common area was very convenient. Overall, the suite felt ...
