The space

Mariposa is a tranquil 1-bedroom apartment featuring a queen bed, A/C, private bath, and a kitchenette with all essentials. Enjoy ocean views & wildlife from your living room. Equipped with a Smart TV and high-speed internet. The private terrace offers a hammock & lounger for complete relaxation. Ideal for 1 or 2 but can accommodate 4 upon request. Beach chairs and boogie boards provided. Perfect for your serene beach vacation.

Corona Del Mar boasts a refreshing saltwater pool, perfect for basking in the sun's warmth away from the bustling crowds. After a day of fishing, you will enjoy our BBQ area, offering outdoor grilling. After a day of surfing, boogie boarding, and other water sport, rinse off in the outdoor shower, conveniently situated for ease and comfort.
Our shaded gazebo is a peaceful outdoor dining area, equipped with hammocks, far removed from the tourist throngs. For those drawn to the allure of the ocean, our property has a private beach staircase which leads directly to the sandy beaches of Tamarindo, inviting you to unwind to the gentle sounds of the waves. Plus, with surfboard rentals readily available, adventure seekers can effortlessly indulge in the thrill of surfing Costa Rica’s renowned waters. Our vacation rental is your gateway to a tranquil beach vacation, combining comfort with the natural beauty of Costa Rica.

A great place to stay!

Just a walk up the beach and there are tons of bars and restaurants! Great view indeed. Katarina was very responsive and Antonio helped us immensely!!! Thanks for they stay!!!

Amazing!

Beautiful location, close to the beach. A lot of flora and fauna inches from where you are staying. The team that works there is super helpful and responsive to any issues you may have. We had a lovely time and want to visit again. Pura vida!

Overall great!

It had everything we needed and the location is great. Only thing I would have changed was all the ants - on the walls and on the floor. We even found a few on the futon. One of my favorite memories is waking up and seeing the howler monkeys outside!

Perfect Location, great price, lovely property

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect. Close enough to downtown to walk to but far enough away for peace and quiet. It was clean, quiet and well appointed. We definitely would return and recommend it to our friends and family. The owner and staff were very accommodating and quick to respond to any of our requests.

small but super convenient

The place was small for a VRBOI (size of a suite at a extended stay hotel) but the view from the back porch (looking out over Tamrindo Bay) and the proximity to the beach (20 steps) and downtown Tamarindo action (10 minute walk via beach or road). Definitely a recommend!

Wonderful, as always!

I have been coming to this property for years now, because it is so perfect. Walking distance to town, and the beach just steps away! The view from the rooms is phenomenal, and everyone there is really friendly and helpful.

Perfect Location

We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning. The location is right on the beach and easy walk to SO many great restaurants. We cooked breakfast at the property most days and the skillet worked great for eggs. Favorite restaurants were NOI, and Dragonfly. Green Papaya was great too. You will love Tamarindo!

Fabulous location

The view from the apartment was beautiful. It shows a long expanse of beach stretching for miles. You can hear the sound of the surf as you sit on your patio and watch the surfers. You are close to Tamarindo, a walk down the beach but don’t have to listen to the party noises at night. The staff is wonderful and very accommodating. The apartment includes beach towels and boogie boards. We would love to stay again.

Location was key for our stay. We wanted sounds of the ocean and short beach access. This fulfilled. Tides were favorable during our Christmas vacation. We were able to walk the ocean floor many times.

Rather like a triplex on the shore with nicely landscaped yards

We were easily welcomed into the property and settled quickly. There is a good view and easy access to the shore. We chose the smaller of the units which was plenty adequate for the two of us. There is a nice porch with ocean and garden. Hopefully your neighbor on the other side of the porch will be of your taste. The noise in the upstairs unit was a bit too loud for us at times. The kitchen area is small but worked fine for us in making rudimentary meals. The bed was comfortable. Bath was nice. A few bugs. We were there on New Years and the noise from the city is very loud and reaches the unit in full volume. But when the rock band wasn't playing it was quiet except for any neighbors. We didn't ask the neighbors to be more quiet but I am sure they would have been. Overall, this is a great place and we would stay there again. A nice walk down the shore to Tamarindo. Good accommodations for us

Everything we were looking for... and more!

This property surpassed all of our expectations.... the location, staff, privacy, and security are all to thank for that. The condo provided every amenity we needed to make our stay comfortable. You are a short beach-walk away from markets, restaurants, car rental agencies, etc. (anything you could ask for). We only stayed for a week, but would have been more than happy to stay longer. We will definitely be back :) Highly recommended!

Best vacation in years

We loved our stay. Was perfect for a relaxing vacation. Small kitchen with just the basic but it had everything we needed with the electric skillet, toaster oven and grill we made due with the few times we chose to eat in. Felt very safe on the grounds. Donna welcomed us when we arrived and quickly responded to my emails when we needed assistance with booking a outing or arranging a taxi. Was a pleasant stay.

A lovely place for two

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights. We loved being on the beach...just a short walk down a path and a few stairs and we were right there. It was a little bit of a distance to walk to the main centre of tamarindo but we got used to that very quickly. The apartment was small but well kept and clean. Would have liked a comfy couch instead of a futon in the tv area but again that's only minor. We did miss having a stove and it caught us off guard since we picked up our groceries before we saw the place. We made do with the toaster oven and electric fry pan which was fine. Donna was the best! She was very accommodating and helpful. Thank you Donna for making our stay stress free!
