Friendly staff but smell of mold in the rooms
Unfortunately we experienced the smell of mold. We moved to another room where it was evident too, but much less. The smell was in the main mattress and it also came by the airconditioning. Exposure is unhealthy and particular to allergic people. We experienced in general very friendly and helpful staf and although many guests it was reasonable quiet due to the fact that there were no children. This was our first experience in an adults only hotel but sure not the last! Best that families with children stay in special family hotels where they find fellow kids and where things are organized for them and their families. So guests in the adults only hotels can enjoy peace and quiet and that the swimming pool also belongs to them. This concept, adults only, will be an absolute winner in the future! Towels where not 100% cotton, so it was hard to dry yourself completely. Restaurants at the resort are expensive compared to the local restaurants. We liked the Smile restaurant best due to higher average quality, price level is higher than the other locals. Most local restaurants are beside the main road in Khao Lak and this means traffic NOICE all the time. Don't expect an idyllic tropical paradise!

Nydelig hotell. Pent parkområde, mange aktivitetstilbud på hotellet og det var nydelig og stille på hotellområdet om kvelden.

Fin opplevelse. Måtte være tidlig oppe for å få solseng ved stranda. Hvis man la seg på sengene, kunne de ikke forlates før kl. 09.30. Gikk man fra de tidligere kunne håndklærne bli fjernet. Minus er at man måtte betale for Internett på rommene.

Over all forventning
Fantastisk hotell. Vi har vært på mange 4 og 5 stjernes hotell i Thailand de siste 4 årene, dette er definitivt blant de beste. Stille og rolig, men bare 10 minutt å gå til sentrum. Kjempefin strand, god og billig mat, super service og 18 års aldersgrense. Anbefales.

Meget bra opphold. Det var for få solsenger, til dette store anlegget.. Det var bare å gi opp. Derimot var det koselig å gå lange turer langs stranden, hvor vi fikk gratis senger, og kjøpt nydelig thai mat til en billig penge. Kan anbefales.

We stayed there for a few days in the beginning of august. We took a taxi from Phuket airport for 1500 THB (return with 'Cheaper than Hotel' was 1300 THB), both without bargaining. The hotel was very nice, quiet and as new, some parts were still under construction (hence the 3). We complained about noise from the construction and got upgraded to a sea view villa, which was perfect :) The beach was beautiful and clean, but unfortunately it was not possible to swim (red flag - no swimming) because of big waves and strong currents (common during the rainy season). However, there was no problem to go out waist deep in the water to play with the waves. Forget about snorkeling from the beach. It was not possible because of the (lack of) visibility and the waves/currents. Nice pools, and only a few guests in the low-season. The weather is variable, we had some days without rain and some with a lot, but it was nice weather in-between every day. Short walk to many restaurants along the main road. The staff was very friendly and nice!

Veldig ordentlig
Nybygd og velfungerende resort. Meget god frokost og generelt bra mat. Servitørene var høflige og vennlige, men ikke spesielt rutinerte. Resorten er eid av tyskere, og følgelig er også svært mange av gjestene tyske. Sensimar-kjeden har flere lignende resorter rundt om i verden, så det er lite thai-preg over stedet. I høysesongen har de et team som arrangerer yoga, pilates, body balance, aquafit, volleyball, spaserturer, dart etc for de som trenger litt aktivitet. 5 minutter å spasere til "sentrum" med sine mange skreddere, spisesteder (billigere) og suvenirsjapper.

The property and staff are fantastic. This is an adult only property and when we went there, it seemed like the majority of the guests were 65 and over. Mostly people from Europe when we stayed there. This is a property if you want peace and relaxation without a lot of noise. If you would like a younger crowd, this property might not be your choice.

More sun chairs
Going here, you probably want to spend time on a sun chair by the beach. Forget it unless you are prepared to walk down to the chairs st 07:30. Even if they have a no-reserving-policy, people put their towels an some dum item pretending they are around. Get MORE sun chairs! The personell in charge don’t dare to remove the reservings. To many people in the the same location. Unless you are a german/swedish charter tourist that enjoy noisy and crowded all-inclusive buffets…avoid this hotel.

beautiful location, also close to town within walking distance, very good aqua fitness classes, great beaches near by,calm water, restaurnts just ok at dinner time alot of people go out to other restaurants, many many stairs beware!!! asked to change room bad kneew but no response, front desk staff tried but if they didn't know the answer would walk away and serve someone else, beware pool turns hair and clothing green. have been aware of this for two weeks but done nothing to fix it

We had a wonderful stay here! We were upgraded to an oceanfront room that was fabulous! The room had a wonderful patio with table chairs, two lounge chairs with umbrella and literally steps to the beautiful uncrowded sandy warm water beach! The property is beautifully landscaped and clean. The pools are wonderful. The staff is friendly. The food was great, offering both local Thai food as well as many other options. Very peaceful and relaxing! Wonderful place!

Wir waren nur eine Nacht in dem Resort und bevorzugen eigentlich kleinere Anlagen, aber uns hat der Aufenthalt gefallen. Das Zimmer war geräumig mit überdurchschnittlich großem Kühlschrank, es gibt eine Swim-up-Poolbar, Hängematten am Strand, der Service ist zuvorkommend und freundlich. Allerdings ist das Resort weit entfernt von allem, so dass wir sogar ein Taxi zum nächsten 7-11 nehmen mussten. Alles in allem für ein paar Nächte zu empfehlen.

Hôtel fantastique, personnel très attentionné et sympathique ! Notre chambre face à la mer était très grande et très agréable. Le restaurant avec de la nourriture internationale et thaïe nous a donné entière satisfaction (La préparation d'un plat spécial pour cause d'allergie, n'a posé aucun problème). Une coupe de mousseux et un morceau de gâteau pour mon anniversaire au moment du départ a été un moment très apprécié. Nous reviendrons.

Superbra hotell, många pooler och nära till stranden. Även gångavstånd till flera restauranger i staden. Handdukar byts varje dag om man önskar, det bjuds på nytt dricksvatten varje dag. Frukosten är allt man kan önska sig till frukost. Personalen är trevlig och hjälpsam. Förbättringssynpunker: Gymmet var lite litet och det fanns inte några skivstänger samt att poolen blev för varm för att kännas svalkande efter en solig dag.

Excellent Resort
Reception and Service Staffs are excellent. We've got upgraded to a bungalow on our 2nd day due to a broken mirror in our standard room. The staffs were very helpful and courteous.

The best qualities of this resort are its staff. Attentive, professional and engaging staff who did their utmost to practice their English and ensure their customers were content. Rooms were very clean and welcoming with daily servicing. The clientele were mainly Europeans. The breakfast buffet was a highlight on arrival and we were spoilt with an upgrade to a spacious beach bungalow for our wedding anniversary. Few steps to negotiate for older clients. Lovely sandy beach and fitness options in hotel and pool aerobics daily. 4 pools all beautifully maintained. A well organised transport/taxi service to take you to the many surrounding markets, waterfalls, beaches and National parks. We will definitely be back!

Nice but not for us
We had a grand deluxe room in the mountain wing. The room was very nicely fitted out, clean and comfortable. Ensuit had all you needed and a lovely shower. Our balcony looked out to see through the tree line and was private and quiet. Breakfast was what you would expect with a variety of food options. From 7am to 10am we tried all times but never found a quiet time. The hotels location is a short walk to all the shops and eateries which is handy. However although nothing tangeable the grounds, pools and beach were not for us. It all seemed a little tight. So we used our room had breakfast then headed out on a sooter everyday. That we really enjoyed.

Beautiful location- fab hotel right on the beach - had a room quite high up, which was lovely, but paid extra for a beach bungalow which was well worth the extra. Staff super friendly - perfect location - had a hire car and went to different beaches, including White Sands, but they weren’t as nice as the beach at this hotel. Could walk for miles up the coast. Would consider coming here again. Top marks for this hotel .
