Possumwood Cottage is a studio accomodation located behind your hosts main residence and set in the midst of 1300 square metres of blue mountains garden. Possumwood is only 600 metres from Leura mall and Leura train station, so no matter what mode of travel brings you to the Blue Mountains, youu will not have to worry about how to get here. The studio is completely self contained and open plan. Two king single beds with extra quilts and pillows available. All linens are provided. Ensuite bathroom (no bathtub) - towels provided as well as Sukin shampoos, conditioner, body and hand wash. Kitchenette with mini fridge, toaster, kettle, microwave, coffee plunger, fresh ground coffee and a variety of teas and hot chocolate. No oven or stove as cooking not permitted but food is easily heated and lunches and breakfasts prepared in your kitchenette. The kitchenette is also equipped with a dinner set, additional mugs, glasses, cutlery and wine glasses. A small dining table where you can enjoy dinner looking out over a cold climate garden. Television, with foxtel now, wifi and a small sound system. Reverse cycle air conditioning, oil fin column heater as an additional heating option in winter, and electric blankets during winter months. Possumwood has a small deck with garden furniture to sip a wine and relax enjoying the garden and variety of bird wildlife that frequent the garden. Street parking is available outside the main property and is unmetered and free. You will be located within a 10 km radius to multiple Blue Mountains attractions e.g. Scenic World, Echo Point, Three sisters and 600 metres from boutique shopping, a multitude of cafes and restaurants whilst still being able to enjoy accommodation that plunges you into nature and is quiet and peaceful, and away from the bustle of the city. You are also welcome to wander the rear garden or make use of the outdoor furniture in the garden to absorb the sun and relax. On a clear night you will be able to make out every star in the galaxy, spot possums in the gum trees, or spy a tawny frogmouth.
No laundry facilities are available to you however, two laundries are within a few kilometres from the accommodation in Katoomba and are easily accessible by motor car or by public transport.
