«This is a quaint almost like a boarding house but very VERY far from Acadia. The hour plus drive was torture on really bad roads and locals doing 85 on 45 roads with twists and curves. Really tough at night and coming back from the park. Do not book if you want proximity to Bar Harbor. The breakfast is overpriced and the serving staff overwhelmed. «The location of this home is very misleading. Although if you search the exact location, you will find it’s in/near the forest but looking at the pics posted you would think it was near the beach and it is not. I could overlook that if the home was stocked with everything needed and beds were comfortable but that was not the case. «The house and the staff were amazing! The home was beautiful and in a great location regarding park access. The staff was so very accommodating, and even let me check in a little early. If you’re considering staying in an inn, remember that the walls are thinner than a regular hotel. You’re basically sharing a home with others, depending on how many rooms are in the house. Overall, great stay and I would definitely recommend and go back myself.»

«We got a king ocean-view room and found it to be largely clean, quiet, and comfortable. Some parts of the hotel (elevator, walkways) seemed dated and older, but that did not detract from our stay.
