«When we arrived at the house, we unpacked and within a few minutes, we smelled something that smelled like sewer gas in the bathroom. The owners came over and accused us of pouring something down the drain to get out of paying them. We could not stay in the house it smelled so bad and they would not refund our money. «The Woods Cabin was exactly what it said it was; a teeny tiny, relatively new cabin pretty deep in the scrubby woods of rural NY. It was clean and fully functional, but it was very basic—it was much more than a tent, but the experience was not at all “glamping.” The owner was exceptionally responsive and helpful…no complaints there, or anywhere! «The cabin is part of someones back yard. There is no real privacy. In addition, the windows have see through curtains as well so it seemed very akward as we could be watched from the owners house. «Wonderful stay in a lovely little retro cabin that’s updated just enough to be comfortable while imagining you’ve gone back in time. Our host was proactive and very helpful. She made the stay that much better.We visited in late summer. The stargazing was spectacular! And we sat outside around the fire listening to apples fall from the trees watching the wildlife (safely, from a distance!). The surrounding area had lots to explore.»

«Hosts were very nice and communicative and they allowed an early check in because of a snow storm. However, the cabin was very dirty. The prior guest had been staying there for two months with a dog prior to our arrival and it was not adequately cleaned. There was dog hair covering the couch. The couch and pillows smelled like dog.
