A beautiful island turned into a National park in 1997. Coiba's underwater topography is linked by the underwater Coco Ridge mountain chain to the Galápagos Islands. Scientists from the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute have proclaimed it an unparalleled destination for discovering new species. Rachel Collin, a Smithsonian project coordinator said: "It's hard to imagine, while snorkeling around a tropical island that's so close to the United States, that half the animals you see are unknown to science.”[1]

"Veldig stort hotell, men med stort uteområdr og mange resteuranter gikk det greit. Vakker utsikt til bætene som lå å ventet på å seile gjennom Panamakanalen. Hyggelig betjening og god mat på alle spisestedene."

"The room was big and clean. It was cleaned everyday and it always felt fresh. The people working there are polite and smiling 🙂 What makes me give 4 stars instead of 5 are the small things. There was a pool bar, but there were almost never anyone around. The matresses by the pool was a bit moldy. The breakfastwas ok, nothing to write home about. Boring coffee. The woman working at the egg station was really nice 🙂"
