Walk to Historic Main - 4BR Home

  • Just 3 blocks from Historic Main Street, this freshly updated 4-bedroom home sleeps 10 with three king beds and a full-over-full bunk. Enjoy a full kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, & cozy living room. Outside relax in a private backyard with fire pit, grill, seating, plus a roomy 3-car garage. Dog-friendly stays welcome
    *We provide a complimentary starter pack of essentials to help you settle in, including basic toiletries and paper products. For your extended stay, please plan to purchase additional items as needed.
    PETS: To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for all guests a fee of $150 per reservation will be charged to cover additional cleaning costs. Pet fees are NOT included in the original reservation price or room rate provided. This home is DOG friendly ONLY. Max of two dogs. Pet Fee will be sent and charged within 2 weeks of your arrival.

    Although we do not like fees in order to maintain our units we must make you aware of the following:
    If you do not honor our pet policy (dog-only disclosure) you will be fined $300.
    Strict NO SMOKING policy. If you smoke inside you will be fined $250.
    We are not responsible for items left behind by guests. If you leave an item behind and you want it to be sent back to you. We charge $25 for that item to be shipped plus the shipping costs.
    Any stay greater than 21 days will require an additional long-term cleaning fee of $50 that will be MANUALLY charged after reservation confirmation.

    Early Check-In
    Please contact us on the day of your arrival to request an early check-in. Early check-in is subject to availability.

    Late Check-Out
    Our standard check-out time is 10:00 AM.
    Please contact us the day before departure to request a late check-out. Late check-out is subject to availability and the following fees:
    Up to 12:00 PM: $75 flat fee.
    After 12:00 PM: Additional charges may apply, including the cost of an additional night.

    Unapproved Late Check-Out:
    Guests who remain at the property beyond the designated check-out time without prior approval may be subject to additional charges, up to the cost of an additional night.

The pictures don't do this place justice. The rooms are large! The bathroom upstairs is huge! Even the living room had plenty of space. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of space. The parking was great too, the driveway fit 4 cars. It was also in a great location. We felt very safe and had an easy walk to the action of mainstreet activities.

We enjoyed our stay at this place. The beds were comfortable and the location is great.There kitchen is not stocked with anything to cook with. No pots or pans. Would be nice to be able to make breakfast and other meals.

Very clean 4 bedroom house with everything we needed and walkable to downtown. Dryer did not work efficiently; however we were able to hang dry our clothes.

This was a great place to stay in st Charles. The only issue we had was that when we showed up, the windows were open (weather was great) but there were a few windows without screens so we had to battle with a couple of flies inside that night. Otherwise very cozy and everything was as advertised. No troubles with check-in or check-out. We’ll probably be back next time we’re in town.

Plenty of room, games for kids, great neighborhood, sweet neighbors, fire pit back yard area was amazing, house clean, old charm, beds/sheets/pillows most comfortable we have ever slept in...want to order for home! Host was easy to reach, responded quickly, close to downtown!

We had 10 people stay while we were in town for a family reunion. Beds were extremely comfortable and felt like there was plenty of space. We enjoyed the games that were provided and accessibility to downtown St. Charles.

Downtown St Charles

The house had a great amount of space to accommodate our family of 4 adults and two children two years and under. It also had a nice fenced in back yard for kids to play and close to downtown coffee shops and riverfront park.

Family Visit

Took my wife, four children, and granddaughter to the St. Louis/St. Charles area (Some for the 1st time) to see family. The property location was awesome, great access to where we needed and wanted to go. If you're going to staying in St. Charles, this location is walking distance from Historic Main Street.

Family vacation

Perfect home, perfect location! Loved that 3 rooms had king sized beds for all the adults (no drawing straws for the “king” bed!) and bunks for the Grands! Added bonus was the St Charles art festival! We had a wonderful stay!

Great location!

Stayed at the house while visiting our daughter on her birthday. We were welcomed with all the lights on in the house, coffee pods ready on hand to use. Very nice.

Pleasant surprise

Historical districts can be hit and miss with housing quality. This location provided the family a place close to the airport, restaurants, and the historical district gave the family a great place to walk around. We enjoyed the local shops and the Lewis and Clark Museum and Boat house. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. The home was clean, well-equipped, the beds were comfortable, and the home was overall-inviting. For an older home, the decor and electronics (TV's and kitchen appliances) were modern and felt comfortable. The family all agreed that if we come to the area again, it would be a place we would stay. There are steep stairs to the full bathroom so it may not work for other families, but it worked well for us.

I needed to make a change to the dates we were staying and the host was completely unwilling to even consider working with us. We are a small family business doing work all over the US. We were not taking away any days of rental, if anything we would have needed to add an additional 2 weeks. All we needed to do was change the dates to dates he verified were available. We went with someone else for the additional weeks! Someone with compassion and understanding that sometimes life happens and things become out of our control. His unwillingness to help ended up costing us an additional 1500. Definitely won't be booking this property ever again.

Bed Bugs and Dirty SheetsOur stay at this rental was extremely disappointing and honestly unsettling. When we arrived, the property did not match the listing photos. The backyard setup shown in the listing was not there — the deck was missing, and there were no patio cushions, which made the outdoor space much less usable than advertised.The bigger issue was the cleanliness. The sheets were visibly dirty and covered in hair and debris when we arrived. We contacted the owner right away, but it took hours before anyone brought clean sheets, and even then, only one set was provided. By that point, we had already gone out and purchased our own sheets because we did not feel comfortable sleeping in the beds as they were.Two days into the stay, we found bed bugs. At that point, we checked out immediately because we were not willing to risk staying there any longer or bringing them home with us. This completely disrupted our trip and added a huge amount of stress, extra work, and unexpected expense.What made the experience worse was the lack of meaningful help afterward. Despite the serious issues — dirty bedding, inaccurate listing photos, and bed bugs — VRBO did not help us secure a full refund. The host is presented as a Premier Host, which makes the condition of the property even more concerning.This was by far the worst rental experience we've ever had. The listing did not match reality, the cleanliness was unacceptable, and the bed bug issue made the home unlivable.

Great place to stay

Very well done home in the historic district, felt very comfortable and safe. The neighborhood is quite and backyard was a very peaceful place to sit and relax. Jeffrey was so quick to answer any questions we had and his communications prior to and during our stay really made our experience with VRBO totally awesome.
