Charming Corner Condo with A/C, Stunning Water Views, and Gorgeous Sunsets!

DESCRIPTION: Cruz Views #05 - Tranquility is a two bedroom one bath end condo located at the charming Cruz Views complex. The condos are designed townhouse style in clusters of three which surround the sun deck and pool area. Tranquility being an end unit, has one shared wall with its neighbor, which makes it an appealing choice for your tropical island getaway. Tranquility is one of the larger condos at the complex as the owner expanded their interior living space to the side deck, which offers guests more areas to relax and spend time together.

The living area is an open floor plan and includes your living room, dining room, and kitchen. The condo is well-equipped and includes a flat-screen TV with cable for your viewing pleasure. Should you need to do some work, and we hope this is not the case, the condo includes your internet with Wi-Fi capabilities. It is our hope though, that you unplug, and let the island of St. John do its magic, as once you visit here and stay at Cruz Views, you will never want to go anywhere else. It becomes your home away from home.

The screened sliding glass door opens from the living area to your private balcony. Here you will enjoy gazing out to the beautiful blue seas of Cruz Bay, as well as looking across to the island of St. Thomas. By day, you will enjoy watching the boats glide by and in the evenings, you will be speechless by the beauty of changing colors in the sky as the sun sets over the horizon.

The air-conditioned bedroom includes a king bed, dresser, and closet so you can unpack your belongings. The loft bedroom is accessed by a ships ladder (attached to the wall) and includes two twin beds. The loft is air-conditioned and is recommended for children ages 12 and above. Should you have younger children, there is an additional pullout sofa in the living room.

If you are a couple looking for a romantic getaway, a family looking for a friendly island experience, or singles, looking for a beach getaway, Cruz Views #05 - Tranquility is the place for you. Make your reservations now and come enjoy our island retreat.

LOCATION: Cruz Views is tucked into a tropical hillside 160 feet above the town of Cruz Bay. The units all face southwest to capture lots of sun and picturesque views of turquoise seas by day, memorable sunsets at days end, and the twinkling lights of distant islands at night. It's an easy walk into Cruz Bay (downhill) but the walk back to Cruz Views is a bit more challenging, especially if you have enjoyed a few of the island's infamous rum punches.

For those renting a vehicle there is on site parking at the complex. Guests will enjoy the shared pool and if you like to BBQ, there is a gas grill available for guests to use during their stay. Beach chairs, beach towels and a cooler are also included with each condo.

Wonderful five nights stay

Everything about the property was as described! It was a perfect place to rest and recharge, while visiting all the wonderful things St. John has to offer. It was clean, very comfortable, and as described. The only feedback we would have, is the bed was very difficult to get restful sleep in. It was hard, and very lightweight so we woke each other up with any movement. However, we rolled with it, and it did not detract from the overall wonderful visit we had. We would definitely stay there again, and would refer it to our friends and family.Personally, if I stayed again, I would look to move towards the other end of the condo complex to get a better view of Cruz Bay.

Great Location for Families or Groups of 2-4

This place worked out very well for us, a family of 4. It was just as listed although would be a bit too small for 6 people. Great view and nice quiet location! The property was nice enough to provide a cooler, some beach chairs and 1 set of beach towels. What would make it even better is another set of towels to have when others were drying out and better beach chairs that fully recline and have backpack straps. Thank you for a great trip!

Great Stay

Property was great. The view was as advertised. The process was easy. The location was central to everything. I would definitely do it again. We did have an issue a few hours one day with water and another day with electricity, but that was an island thing and not reflective of the property. It didn’t affect anything we planned. The island was amazing.

Lovely spot

Our family had a great stay in this condo. The view was spectacular, beds were very comfortable, and the unit was stocked with everything we needed. It was great to have beach chairs, beach towels, and a cooler available for our use. We loved the location, it was very close to town and still very quiet. We enjoyed swimming in the pool after a day at the beach. We would totally stay here again.

Beautiful pool and location

Condo had everything we needed for a wonderful trip to St. John. Caution about the steep hill and the steep driveway. Not for the faint of heart. Living area is on the small side and loft bedroom is directly above primary bedroom making sound travel. All that said it worked out very well for our family and we are very appreciative of the management company addressing every question and concern we had.

Everything we needed!

My wife and I stayed here for 2 days and had a fantastic time. The location is a 5 minute drive from town and walkable if you’re good with hills. The space was clean, cozy, and quiet! If we return to St. John I would 100% rebook here.

Overall Great Stay

Overall, this was a great property. The condo was clean and had all of the amenities we needed. We loved the pool area...we used it everyday. Location of the condo is great as you are close to Cruz Bay and major roads to take you on your adventures around the island. It is located up a very steep hill, so as others have mentioned, it is not really feasible to walk into town. The only disappointment was the noise level. When the windows and doors are closed, it is very quiet. However, when you go out on the balcony, there is a constant hum that kind of echoes up the hillside from the working docks below. It wasn't a deal breaker, but wasn't what we expected from other reviews. Again, overall, it was a great stay!

Girls Trip

Overall loved the location, condo, and pool. There was an issue with the cleaning process which left us checking in late while the housekeeper was still working to clean the unit. Otherwise the property manager told us the key was to be left under the mat for us. While checking out I attempted to contact the property manager using both phone numbers and couldn’t get in contact with anyone so I ended up leaving the key as it was to be left for us. Overall it’s a great place but I really struggle to pay a cleaning fee when the housekeeper wasn’t booked and a secondary housekeeper came to clean the until during the time of my check in.

Beautiful View

Everything was wonderful concerning the accommodations themselves. The kitchen has all you need, and the master bedroom has a very comfy bed! My kids loved the ladder to the loft, and the air conditioners both in the bedroom and loft worked great to keep those areas cool. To keep the rest of the place cool, we closed the windows and pulled the drapes when we left for the day. The view from the balcony is outstanding, but not of Cruz Bay-- more of the bay where the car ferry comes in. Still gorgeous since it is way up on the hill, and St. Thomas and other small islands are visible. Also, so much nature to view right from the balcony: bananaquits, pearl eyed thrashers and bullfinch (birds) visit, small reptiles and iguanas are down in the grass and bushes below, and very few insects at all. Oh, and the cat that comes to visit is very cute, but is the look-don't-touch type. Tip: If you aren't renting a jeep, that hill to and from town is NO JOKE. If you are in shape and take it on foot, wear some good footwear with gripping soles (not flip-flops or sandals). It is STEEP! It showed me just how cardiovascularly unfit I really am! If you are not in superior shape, you will have trouble and be sore. And at night, there are no lights on the steepest part of the hill in addition to very little room to walk and no sidewalks most of the way up and down on the very narrow roads. On the other hand, a taxi is easy to catch in town or call from your condo, and it was around $6 per person one way(there were 3-4 of us at a time).

Perfect for what we needed

The whole stay was great - Cruz View #5 was exactly as advertised and perfect for what we needed. The location was easy to get to town (I know many people commented on the hill- we rented a jeep and drove back and forth without issues - and on one occasion we had a taxi drop us off and it had no trouble doing so). The air conditioner worked great to keep the place cool at night (we were out during the day time), and the bed was comfy. We didn’t use the twin beds upstairs - I think that the ladder to access that space might be challenging for young kids (under 9-10ish) or older adults - but we didn’t need to use that room. We had to contact the property manager once about a minor issue with the smart TV and they addressed it immediately. The whole experience was wonderful and we’d stay there again.

St. John Wedding Crew

Stayed here (2 couples + 1 friend) for a wedding. This was a great stay for us who are all ages 25-30. The location was close to town but there was a huge very steep hill to come back to the villa. When we got lucky getting a taxi up it was cheap and fast, when we couldn’t get a taxi because we stayed out too late we were stuck walking and it was a very very very steep hill. Highly suggest this location for active people. The villa was clean and a perfect size for us.

Well maintained property. The hill to it walking is definitely a challenge. We did get a lot of exercise though which was great! It could use ac through out instead of just in bedrooms. We did however enjoy our stay! Property managers were top notch!

Quiet location, close to town, property was as described

It was supplied with everything you would need for a vacation in the Islands including beach chairs, cooler and towels. Management was very responsive and attentive. We had a issue setting up streaming on the TV, someone came over within 5 minutes to handle. Although it is close to town it is not a pleasant walk, there is a steep hill and a portion of the road is busy with traffic
