Caribbean Gem Hilltop Condo with Harbor and Island Views, Walk to Town

Harborview is a 2 bedroom/2bathroom condo at battery hill, an intimate nine unit condominium complex nestled at the top of the hill overlooking Cruz Bay in town. This is a Caribbean gem, with an open living plan, fully equipped kitchen, and furnished in lovely, bright island decor, with a queen sized master bedroom and a queen size bed in the expensive loft bedroom.

Harbor View is located on the top floor of the two unit building, with its own separate entrance. The mahogany doors open to the fabulous 24 foot high tongue and groove, beamed ceilings. The jalousie windows and six Hunter fans circulate the tropical breezes and Trade Winds (air conditioning is available for the rare nights it is needed). The inviting great room is tastefully appointed with a comfortable couch, chairs and a flat screen television with cable TV. Off of the great room is a quaint covered balcony to take in the majestic views while basking in the cooling trade wind breezes.

There is a community gas BBQ grill available which is located near the pool deck. The community pool is located just steps from the front door. It features numerous lounge chairs available for sunbathing and other lounge chairs are located under a covered and shaded area, ideal for reading or lounging. Several tables and chairs complement the outer pool deck area. Beach chairs, cooler and beach towels are available to take on your visits to our many world class beaches. Battery Hill is a beautifully landscaped community located within the village of Cruz Bay with an ambiance well suited to those looking for privacy, luxurious amenities and convenience.

Harbor View at Battery Hill is professionally managed by Tammy Cummings, Always Summer Services. Tammy is a 30 plus year residents of St. John and has been in the property management business for 5 years. Tammy strives to keep her company small and personally oriented. With her intimate knowledge of St. John, she is happy to give customized advice of the island she calls home.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Harbor View! The attention to detail is excellent. Very comfortable with wonderful, informative books and several novels to choose from. The kitchen is well stocked with all the items needed for cooking, etc. Peaceful mornings with coffee on the patio overlooking the harbor while listening to the roosters crowing was a great way to start the day. It is a short walk to town from the condo. However, it is all uphill on the way back. If you don’t like walking hills then renting a jeep or getting a taxi ride back to Harbor View is highly recommended. We would definitely stay here again!

Incomparable.

Everything about Harbor View at Battery Hill makes for a perfect stay. The views are both awe and peace-inspiring. The decor is timeless and thoughtful. There are places for rest, reading, and socializing. Anything you need for a beach jaunt is provided. And, best of all, the owners and property manager communicate timely and thoroughly. What else can you ask for?

My Favorite Spot!

This is the third time we have stayed in the Battery Hill condos and first time in this unit. It was a very lovely, comfortable place to be for a week! It was recently updated and had all the amenities you could ask for. But the one best thing about this condo is THE VIEW!!!!! Loved sitting on the porch every morning and night. It is very conveniently located, with a walk down the hill and the walk back up to burn off the dinner calories! I would most definitely recommend this condo and will be returning!

Another great stay at Harbor View!

This was our second time staying in this condo and it was just as good as the first. Both Eileen and Tammy are a delight to work with, so hospitable and accommodating! Location is spectacular, walk to all! Always had a parking spot for our jeep rental. Lots of beach gear provided, chairs, cooler, bags, umbrellas, rain coat and more. We needed and used all! Makes it so convenient to not have to pack or rent those things. Unit is clean and well stocked with anything you would need for cooking! Will stay again and again! Can't wait for our next visit!

Piece of paradise!

We had the best time here! Four adults (2 couples), and it was the perfect size and location. We had a vehicle, but could have done without, as it’s within walking distance to town. The house was well stocked with everything we needed for the perfect week in St John. The balcony was great for morning coffee or an afternoon nap. The pool and lounge area were just the right size for relaxing after a day at the beach. I honestly can’t say enough wonderful things about this property! Thank you to the owners for sharing it with us!!! I would come back and stay in this exact place.

This place was amazing! Would recommend to anyone staying in the St. John area. The view of the harbor is awesome to eat breakfast to every morning. If we come back to St. John this will be the first place we look at! The walk to Cruz bay was only a couple minutes and the walk back helped shed some calories from dinner! Great property, convenient location

Location of property is super convenient for activities and meals, property was very nice, kitchen well appointed. Clarifying observation, washer and dryer available and no charge but we’re not in the unit. Not a huge deal, though. Spiral stairs to loft were indeed a little challenging

Perfect condo and location

We had a great week at Harbor View! This is one of the best-provisioned rentals we’ve ever had, especially the kitchen. It was super helpful to have chairs and even a backpack yeti available. The room setup worked well for us, with the teenaged daughters up the spiral stairs. We particularly loved the location and had never stayed right in Cruz Bay before- definitely a very steep climb on the return trip, but worked for us every night and appreciated not having to take taxis to dinner.

Perfect place on a perfect island

This was our first ever trip to the VI, and My wife and 2 college aged daughters absolutely loved our stay at Harbor View! Well appointed as advertised : we used the beach chairs and yeti backpack cooler, and/or smaller, soft cooler everyday on our visits to the stunning beaches all over the island. At the end of our long beach days, we lounged in the lovely pool and deck area enjoying the great view of the harbor and town - as we did every morning and evening from our own little porch. A note : getting a large, packed, suitcase ( or 2 in our case ) up and down the spiral stair case to the loft room is, admittedly, a challenge. HOWEVER this is NOT IN ANY WAY A COMPLAINT. , as we knew the layout beforehand and expected it would be. We made it happen, just used proper caution ( if it’s too much for your party, you might want to shuttle your contents up there as needed, or some other solution). The loft room itself is quite roomy, well decorated and has its own bathroom. A 5 minute walk down the hill puts you in the heart or Cruz bay…another 5 minutes to Mongoose Junction. It’s a steeper , slower hike uphill back home, but we found it a good way to walk off dinner and/or a few drinks. Property caretaker, Tammy, was terrific about communication from Check-in through check out, and at any point in between. We are grateful to the owners for sharing their beautiful home on this beautiful island. We hope to be back one day.

The new standard

In the twelve years of visiting STJ, this slice of heaven just became my forever favorite. The pictures can't do it justice. It's somehow spacious and cozy. Decor is tasteful and lovingly curated (per my designer sister), with little pieces and choices that let you know someone cares. Everything is bathed and gorgeous light during the day, without it getting hot. The layout is amazing! While the spiral stairs won't work for everyone, they are such a beautiful way to access the spacious loft. I was floored by the full bed and bathroom. Plus, the loft is bright with natural light, consistent with the rest of the space. It's not an attic. Beyond this, I love the dedicated areas for eating, relaxing, chatting, and taking in the morning sun and afternoon breezes. Additionally, guests seem to care --- no loud talking, music, or banging. I had the Carnival Festival village for all that goodness! Finally, I can't say enough about how charming and hepful Tammy the property manager is. She was available and always had answers, almost neighborly in her responsiveness. I'm a fan. This is a gem. Cheers to the owner!

Harbor View - Great Visit!

We've stayed at Harbor View at Battery Hill multiple times and never been disappointed. Our visits are up to 3 weeks now and the host has always been great! The site manager keeps you informed and responds quickly also. The place has everything you need for comfort inside and for trips to the beaches, including coolers, chairs, and towels. Harbor View is out go to place on St John as we love the view of Cruz Bay and have easy access to town, shopping, and groceries. We will definitely stay here again! Mark & Kim J

Fantastic condo and location!

Harbor View in the Battery Hill complex is a great condo and superb location to downtown Cruz Bay. The condo is furnished very nicely and has just about everything you can think of! We highly recommend and will definitely be back!

For the Love of St. John

We had a wonderful time at our stay at Harbor View. It was such a great way to celebrate our Anniversary. The place was so comfortable and it had everything we needed and more. We really enjoyed relaxing on the balcony and the view was amazing. We will be coming back and staying here again. Thank you to the hosts and their support team for an unforgettable trip!

Wonderful!

The description is accurate, this unit is a gem! Very clean, tasteful decor and view better than we expected. We sat on the balcony each morning and enjoyed the view. The kitchen had everything we needed with quality dishware, utensils, etc. Highly recommend!

We felt at home

This condo was fully appointed! We didn’t need to use the dishes no one wanted. Every dish looked new! Ha! Everything worked and we had no issues! The space was clean, close to town and exactly as described. We didn’t rent the upstairs but did take a peek and it so inviting!!! The breeze came with the place too! No need for the air although it was nice to have that option. Thank you for having us! We hope you’ll have us again!!
