"All from the arrival this was a very good experience! We asked whether the room had a nice view over the canal. The receptionist said: “ Not really, but I will see what I can do!” And she gave us a wonderful room! The room itself was very cosy and nicely decorated. It had little details that made it feel homey. And - most important - it had two good chairs! I can never rate a hotel top score if it doesn’t have two chairs. What is this idea - that so many hotel rooms have one chair only - even though we have booked and paid for a double room!? I will furthermore point out the lift in this hotel! It has a glass wall all the way, so that we got that magnificent view over the canal all the time!
And the breakfast! Wow! We have stayed at nearly 40 hotels this summer while going on bicycles from Norway to Italy, and this breakfast is by far the best! I have never seen so many choises - and very many healthy choices consisting vegetables in all sorts and colors. And the bread was warm! Finally I will also point out that all the staff in this hotel were very nice and friendly!! Thanks from a retired couple!"
