All good - as it should be
Moxy is located centrally and has the necessary facilities. Nothing spectacular, but then again everything good - as it should be.

Quite nice but housekeeping needs to be addressed
Stayed for 10 days in August 2021. The hotel advertised daily housekeeping but did not provide. When I asked one person said for longer stays housekeeping was only every 3 days. When another person was asked next morning she said this is not correct and housekeeping should be every day. This person managed to arrange housekeeping same day but carpet was not vacuumed. Asked again next morning and that day housekeeping and vacuuming had been done. Some days housekeeping only changed the towels and did nothing else. On four occasions had to ask for clean towels to be supplied. All in all good housekeeping was provided only 4 times in 10 days. With regards to the room itself it is very basic but quite nice. Would be good if a wardrobe or at least some shelves had been put up to put away your clothes. There is ample space for this to be done. Another good chair would also be nice. The staff was extremely nice and very helpful and I want to commend them for their efforts and helpfulness. All in all we had quite a nice stay except for the already mentioned lack of housekeeping. I will definitely recommend this hotel for a short or week-end stay.

Was odd checking in at the bar. The was very friendly and found no phone, fridge or bottled water. Good walking distance to restaurants.

Check in to the hotel was ok but was surprised I was checking in at the bar. Didn't expect the room to have no closet, no desk. We were there just for the night before embarking on a cruise so that was ok. In the evening we went to the dining room/bar to find the only food available was, what I regard as, bar food. As I wasn’t familiar with the area for other dining options we decide to eat here and I went up to the bar to order food for 4 people. The bartender, who wasn’t all that busy, took his time before coming up and taking my order. I had already started giving my order then in mid sentence he instantly turns around and proceeded to mix some drink for someone. I tried to get his attention and was ignored. There was another guy standing nearby doing nothing and when I finally got his attention and he pointed to the first guy so no help there. I think if I knew of another place nearby I would have thrown the menu down and leave so I had to stick it out. Eventually he finished making the drink and came back and took my order (and avoiding eye contact of any kind). Kitchen was busy and it took a while for food to show but it was otherwise good. Later decided to order a draught beer. The guy that was doing nothing earlier just stares at me immobile and with a bovine look. I repeated my order and he eventually poured the beer for me. Immature staff needs an adult in charge. If it weren’t for my unpleasant dinner experience I would have been given 4 stars.

It was the perfect location for getting on our cruise ship. 15 minute walk. Room was small but for one night not an issue. Staff was helpful. Can't say much more as we were there a very short time.

Checking in at the bar area was different with no designated lobby area but the staff were great. I did not like that they were cashless in the restaurant.Over all it is a good hotel and very convenient to everything.

Unfortunately the cooking system was down in the hotel at night but we went out and found a good restaurant. The breakfast system in the hotel was fixed and we both enjoyed what was on offer. A good selection

We have stayed here several times and its always very good. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. Perfect for an overnight stay Close to the mall,pubs and a cinema

Stayed here on many occasions due to the great location for my needs, the staff are always friendly and efficient. The rooms are always clean and quiet, the only one point I can make is I feel the bathrooms shower and sink drainage needs deep cleaning more often as it does create a faint smell now and then. Overall, a great hotel and lovely breakfast choices.

Stayed in Southampton Moxy many times before and always had a good stay. It’s really convenient for me as their breakfast starts from 6am and I normally need to leave just after 6:30 when in Southampton for business. One comment, however, is they’ve changed their coffee machines and the quality of the coffee has really suffered. Otherwise, the staff, facilities and rooms are great and hope that continues in future.
