This is an elegant, fully professional hotel and staff. The rooms are handsomely appointed and well-maintained. You can’t go wrong staying here. Incidentally, it is wonderfully located for the ferries to Isle of Wight.

Very convenient to Southampton cruise port and West Quay mall. Comfortable, clean hotel Only breakfast option is a large, rather expensive buffet. Understaffed bar opens for lunch with good ala carte menu.

Excellent hotel and staff very helpful. Couldn’t fault it. Only thing that would improve it would be some small plates on the bar menu. When you have been travelling we didn’t want a big meal and would have enjoyed some small snacks.

Great location for the town centre shopping and staff were friendly and resolved any issues quickly. On arrival the balcony to our room wasnt cleaned before we checked in, but staff quickly resolved this. The entrance to the pool could be improved as the stairs were wet, more seating or areas to hang robes could have also been provided at the pool.

Surly woman wouldn’t let us use the pool despite it not closing for a further 30 minutes. Room was dirty and smelled. They moved us up a floor to another dirty room with filthy bathroom so at least we had an opening window rather than just a dirty misty smelling room and were told this was an upgrade!!

I recently had the opportunity to stay at Grand harbour Hotel from 4th april to 5th april and while I appreciated many aspects of the property and its facilities, I felt compelled to share some concerns regarding my experience. Firstly, I must commend the property for its overall appearance and the quality of its facilities. However, I was disappointed with the level of service provided by the staff. Throughout my stay, I encountered instances of what I perceived as unprofessional behavior and a lack of attentiveness from some members of the staff. Additionally, there were issues with the cleanliness of the bathroom in my room. Despite my expectations, there was a persistent odor present from the beginning of my stay, which detracted from my overall comfort. Furthermore, it was my husband's birthday during our stay, and I had specifically chosen this for its advertised view and expected exemplary service. Regrettably, we did not receive any special attention or service to acknowledge the occasion, which was a disappointment. While I understand that no establishment is perfect, I believe it is important to provide feedback so that improvements can be made. I hope that my comments are taken constructively, and I trust that steps will be taken to address these issues to enhance the overall guest experience at the hotel.

The hotel is within walking distance to the town centre and shopping mall. The room was a decent size and has a Nespresso coffee machine with 4 pods of coffee and a kettle for tea lovers. Comfortable clean bed and I loved The White Company toiletries. However the reason I only gave 3 stars is because - The fridge in the room had a left over take away from a previous guest which made the fridge smell. - The room lacked lighting in the evenings as there were no ceiling lights, only lamps - The quickest check in ever, just asked for my name and gave me my room key. The lady was polite but compared to other hotels we have stayed at it didn’t feel very welcoming. No basic conversation to explain where any of the amenities were located should we want to use spa and have breakfast. - The Nespresso machine leaked while making coffee in the mornings

As is the norm with this hotel,staff shortage means long waiting times particularly in the bar!Bar person would often disappear and return with no apology!God forbid if you wanted a drink and the bar person is preparing coffees! I arrived for 8 day cruise at 9:00 AM We have a flight from Orlando FL which took about 8 1/2 hours we arrived with about 8 suitcases we could not check in early which we understood so we sat on the hotel couch sleeping off and on till 230pm I was unaware that they had a concierge service because i could not understand no one coming to ask us to hold our luggage for the 8 hours before we checked in as we was sitting in the middle of the hotel sleeping with our luggage i did speak with the night manger he was very apologetic but this was a fault of his entire day staff

A lovely hotel in a really good location for shops and port. Nice restaurant in the hotel and lovely staff. Room very nice and quite, but twin beds were too small and i would have prefered a walk in shower to the bath and shower. Really enjoyed our visit and would book again
