«The Pilsley Inn is the quintessential English country side experience. The room was thoughtfully appointed and way bigger than expected. Cozy bed, nice linens and thoughtful touches everywhere. «We received a lovely welcome on arrival and throughout our 2 night stay the staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. We stayed in a beautiful double room with generous coffee, tea and hot chocolate provided for. The fridge was appreciated - kept the sparkling water and fresh milk nice and cold. «This is not a 4star hotel as described, it’s just a tired old pub that has some accommodation. The ‘deluxe’room that we had booked had stained carpets,sofa and cushions and was very basic. The two small bath towels and one hand towel provided were frayed. The menu is very basic in the pub. I had a pizza that was inedible as it tasted mouldy and looked horrible. «A nice travellers rest inn, we had a very spacious ground floor room with an equally spacious ensuite, the room was a little noisy early evening, but was generally quiet overnight. Well located in the centre of Bakewell close to all the town has to offer. The adjoining pub has a great atmosphere with excellent food and drinks. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating.»
