«Small hotel with great service in a quiet street. We were upgraded to a larger room, and got a lovely room with a big bathroom. The service at the breakfast was excellent and they were fast. Food was great, WiFi was very good. Could have been better light above the mirror in the bathroom, there was none. That’s the only negative we could find. Walking distance from the railway station, at least when it’s not raining. About 700 meters, a bit uphill. Close to city centre.»

«Reception staff were friendly and helpful, especially when we arrived and helped us with our bags. The room was quite big and had a side sea view and it was lovely sleeping with the window open, listening to the sea. The room was very hot but better on second night as we'd left the window open all day. The room and bedding were clean. Room decor was very plain, could have done with a few pictures. As other reviews have said, hot water took a while to come through and even then, was fine for me ...

«I was a guest at The Mole checking out on Monday, 2 February. When I returned home I realised that I had misplaced my stainless steel Rolex. I spoke that evening to Steve Parfitt on reception who immediately checked the pool locker and kindly called me back to inform me that he had found it. Steve offered to meet me at the railway station some 15 miles away and I took the train down, and he was able to return my watch to me in person.
