«We checked into the hotel and left to spend the day around town. When we returned and got settled in, we noticed the carpet felt slightly damp/ sticky. Walking on it barefoot left our feet feeling sticky.. I wasn’t sure if it was due to humidity or the condition of the carpet. «The room we had smelled like mold and mildew the entire stay. The floor was damp and turned the bottom of my socks black. The manager said the smell was outside but that was absolutely not true and it smelled even worse in the bathroom. They had a strong scented plug-in plugged into the wall behind the dresser, trying to cover the horrible smell. We had to unplug it as it was making us nauseous. «There is no lake view in a room that said it was lake view. It was clean. The king-size bed was beyond terrible. It was like 2 twins pushed together with a very lumpy mattress topper. No closet. Very tiny room. The hand sink was in the bedroom. The house was built in 1883, if it had been haunted it might have been worth the $250. It was neither haunted or worth the $250. »
