«We've stayed at the Town Hall a couple of times and will definitely stay here again. The rooms are all so interesting and well maintained. We love the fact that someone cared enough about the history of this building to repurpose it into something that everyone can enjoy.
Sue was so helpful with the check-in and entry codes. She makes this even more special with her attitude and friendliness.»

«This is a quaint place to stay after a day of exploring the Black Hills. The room was clean and inviting. And with the common room, my friends, who love hot tea in the morning, could drink, sit on the sofa and anticipate the day’s adventures. We were given a discount at dinner at Shipwrecks, which is on the property. The next morning we were able to select from a variety of breakfast foods. The portions of the food were plentiful and we were sad we couldn’t finish the delicious food. Adam, one ...

«This historic house is beautifully maintained and the rooms are very comfortable. We had the attic room which is extra large and has an amazing spa shower. The proprietors took great care to prepare a wonderful breakfast each morning. Loved our stay at 1899!»

«My wife and I Stayed here for a 40th wedding anniversary. The owners were extremely nice and accommodating. This was the best experience we’ve had at any other vacation stays. The experience was so pleasant, we are already planning on future visits. If I could give the Black Forest Inn bed-and-breakfast six stars I would.»

«We were looking for a place to stay over the Labor Day weekend close to Lake Poinsett and this little gem was perfect! It was very easy to book and the hosts responded immediately when we sent a message. It was super clean and the beds were very comfy! Lakeside Coffee Co was right next door with delicious coffee and pastries. We will definitely book again!!»

«When we arrived we thought surely this isn't the place. There were multiple cars and nowhere to park. The garage was open and it was filled with broken appliances. They were spilling out onto the driveway. Nervously, I knocked on the door and a sketchy man answered. The Smell hit us as soon as the door opened. It was horrible! There was what sounded like a party upstairs with children running and yelling and multiple adults. The man led us to the immediate left to a tiny hall with a kitchenette ...
