"The biggest issue during my stay was the lack of sound insulation in my room. Noise from surrounding rooms and hallways was very disruptive and constant.
I could hear the guests above, in both adjoining rooms and in the hallway including voices, Tv-audio and phones vibrating on tables, moving chairs or closing windows were also very noticeable. The bathroom offered no privacy either. Plumbing noises from other rooms, including toilets flushing, sinks running, showers and hairdryers was easily heard.
Hallway noise carried into the room. Conversations, footsteps, and people passing by, made it difficult to relax or sleep. Overall, poor soundproofing significantly
impacted my comfort.
The cleaning of the room was inadequate. In my 4-night stay, requested no cleaning the first night. Instead it was only cleaned once, where the bed sheets was not changed, only the bed was made. The bathroom was not cleaned, black straight hairs in the shower and dirt and dust on the floor.
Another concerning experience happened on my final evening. While sitting in a common area near the bar, I was approached by a receptionist asking if I was a guest which caught me off guard, and if I could prove it by showing my rom key card. As I did, but what made the situation uncomfortable, was that I observed that the receptionist did not ask any other guests in the same area and as the only person of color present at the time, the interaction stood out and left me questioning whether I was singled out?"
