Compass Tres' is a gracefully decorated, serene retreat situated in the Village of Stump Sound community on Topsail Island. There is a space for every soul with sound view porches, a private dock, quaint sunroom, a community tennis and pickleball court and a highly sought after beachfront clubhouse complete with passcode protected restrooms and pool.

As you pull up to Compass Tres' inviting staircase. On the 3rd floor you are immediately greeted by a vaulted family room with a tremendous picture window as it's centerpiece. Plenty of seating and multiple game tables allow for a variety of activities. A widow's watch creates a cozy beach reading nook. Classic games, cards and puzzles are available to entertain even the pickiest guest. Though Topsail will tempt you to unplug and tune out the 'real world', smart tv's are located in the living room and all bedrooms for catching up on your shows or watching the big game.

With a Kitchen Like This You May Actually Want to Cook On Vacation!
Whether you are preparing for cocktail hour or feeding the masses, cooking is a joy in Compass Tres' bright and open kitchen adorned with stainless steel appliances. The kitchen is fully stocked with every utensil and appliance needed to create the most discerning dishes. The beverage center is complete with a Keurig and traditional coffee maker. The dining nook has seating for up to 8 along with an adjacent breakfast bar with seating for 3.

To Sleep Perchance to Dream
Compass Tres' sleeps 8 comfortably, with additional sleeping space for 2 kids on a pullout sleeper sofa. Linens and bath towels are provided.
Bedroom 1 is on the 3rd floor (Master #1) and features a king sized bed, a closed and a private ensuite bathroom with a walk-in (accessible) shower and a garden tub. This bedroom has access to the upper deck and provides unbelieveable views of Stump Sound. Adjacent to this bedroom is a unique, private, "Zoom Room" with a desk and sleeper sofa that pulls out to a queen bed. This is the perfect place for children to take their school zoom calls or adults to "work from home".  No one will ever known you're actually on vacation!
Bedroom #2 is on the second floor (Master #2) it features a king sized bed, a closet and a private ensuite bathroom with a walk-in (accessible) shower.  This bedroom has access to the second floor deck overlooking the sound.
Bedroom #3 is on the second floor, features a queen sized bed and has access to a private deck in the front of the house and access to the shared soundside deck.
Bedroom #4, appropriately called the "Bunk Room" is nautically themed with a set of twin bunk beds, a table for games, a tv and a kitchenette with beverage fridge, keurig and sink. This is the perfect place for your fisherman to store snacks and drinks to take out to the dock! Double sliding glass doors off of the Bunk Room gives you access to the soundside deck, the back yard and the dock.

Deckadence
The outdoor living area at Compass Tres cannot be beat. The house offers two levels of decking for drinking coffee at sunrise and toasting cocktails at sunset. The top deck flows seemlessly out thru the third floor master bedroom, the living room and the sunroom. Sitting in the high adirondack style chairs allow for an unobstructed view of Stump Sound and the professionally landscaped and lighted yard courtyard. We've been on Topsail Island for over 40 years and are convinced that this is the best view on the island!
A second level deck runs the width of the house and is your gateway to the courtyard and arbor leading out to the dock. Here you can observe a friendly game of cornhole or watch the egrets fish in the sound. Speaking of courtyard, many have told us that the backyard at Compass Tres is the perfect setting for an intimate fairytale wedding or cocktail party.

Saltwater Gospel
Here at Compass Tres you can live your best salt life! Fishing from the dock is a dream for the anglers in the group. Cast, catch and clean your flounder, red drum and other tasty fish directly from Stump Sound. If paddling is more your speed, simply push your locally rented kayak out into the sound for a scenic paddle among the breathtaking inlets.  When you are ready to put your toes in the sand, it is just a short stroll to the beach. The community clubhouse provides you with access to private bathrooms, showers and community pool. Don't worry about having to pack the kitchen sink! We have loaded up the beach cart with chairs, an umbrella, boogie boards, shovels and pails. Just don't forget the sunscreen and beach towels!

Are we there yet?
Compass Tres is nestled in a quiet community known as the Village of Stump Sound in North Topsail Beach, North Carolina. The community is a perfect area for walking and biking. While there are a few places that you can easily access by foot or bike it is helpful to have a car if you'd like to explore restaurants, shops and bars in Surf City or go golfing in Sneads Ferry.

As much as we love furry children, we also do not allow pets in consideration to our guests with allergies.
