«This is possibly the most charming hotels and place I can remember staying. It’s an old building in a harsh Scottish environment and that is part of its charm. If you want pristine decoration it’s not for you. If you want excellent hospitality, fantastic staff and walls full of the owner’s original art, go. Walk the Crinan trail - the view from the viewpoint is one of the best on a clear day (it is a steep walk though).
A genuine Scottish gem.»

«What a view from the panorama windows in the restaurant! We had a lovely meal and the food was impressive. Enjoying the view during our meal and the green surroundings outside of the the hotel. It was so idyllic. The building is old, but the rooms are still clean and comfortable. I will definitely return!»

«We had an amazing stay at Melfort House and we would love to go back. The house is warm and welcoming, just like Matthew the host. The loch room has excellent views and the garden surrounding the house is green and lush. Matthew is an excellent cook and every guest should take the opportunity to have a homemade multi-course meal in the beautiful dining room with the other guests, truly a unique experience.
