Marvelously run pub/hotel. It just get any better than this. I look forward to staying with Carol and the team again - hopefully on another quiz night so I can meet my new friends.

Close to town center
Convenient for the town center. Friendly staff. Easy, free on-street parking. Room okay, but the room above the kitchen (room 6) is a bit noisy first thing in the morning, previously stayed in room 6 which is better.

A Great Place to Stay & Great Value for Money!
The Railway is situated on the outskirts of the Town Centre, but only a 5 minute walk away. The staff were very friendly & welcoming, the beer on tap was exceptional! The rooms, although small, were clean & comfortable; the breakfast provided, which is included in the price, was excellent. The only slight issue was the availability of parking; street parking is scarce, you just need to be lucky; however, there is a car park close by, which, if you park to the far right-hand side, provides a short walk to the property. The car park is chargeable, although not expensive, but is free between the hours of 18:00 to 09:00. Overall, a great place to stay & great value for money!

Comfortable room and friendly staff
I stayed at the Railway for two nights when in Skipton for a running event. The room was very comfortable and good value - full breakfast included was a bonus and I was able to have something light the morning of the run and the full breakfast the following day. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I didn’t eat there in the evenings but the menu looked good and it was busy both nights which is always a good sign. There is no parking but the car park up the road is really reasonable (£5.50 per day) so I just left the car there. I would definitely stay there again if back in Skipton.

Every single staff person I interacted with was extraordinarily kind and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, my room clean and comfy, and the location is within a 10-minute's easy walk (even whilst rolling my suitcase behind me) from the Skipton Railway station and downtown shopping/attractions. The food, beer, atmosphere, and location all contributed to a very enjoyable stay.

Overnight stay
Overnight stay and what a little gem this place is . Small and lively pub fairly central to skipton . We didn’t eat an evening meal there but the menu and food we saw served looked excellent . The breakfast was freshly cooked, delicious and plentiful , with several options.available . No parking but we managed to get an on the road space an I believe there is a long stay car park near by but I’m not sure how far away it is . The staff were all very helpful and friendly , and the room we stayed in was clean and comfortable . I wouldn’t hesitate in staying again or recommending it to friends/family

Location was within walking distance of the town centre. Room was pleasant, clean and offered tea, coffee and biscuit selection in room. Breakfast had a good selection of cereal and choice of hot food from the menu.

Warm welcome, helpful service, surprisingly wide range of food - which was good quality. Three real ales available and it was obviously a respected local pub with friendly clientele.

Very good service
Extremely friendly and helpful staff, nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast starts early which is not just unusual, but is very helpful for people who have got a full day hiking or who need to catch early trains from Skipton. The breakfast is very good and has a very varied menu with plenty of choice. Evening meals are very good with a good varied menu and is very popular with guests, tourists and locals.

Good hosts who made you feel welcome. Room on the small side but very presentable. Two single beds joined together made it a bit uncomfortable. Excellent food, beer and hospitality.
