Beautiful cottage, lovely setting and a great base from which to explore the Dales.
Although dogs are welcomed here, even if you're not a dog person you'd never know any have visited were it not for the guestbook signed on behalf of some of them; spotlessly clean and no signs (besides the doggy towels in the entrance hall) of any pooches having preceded you.
Scores of 9 are down to a lack of 2-pin plug shaving or electric toothbrushes, otherwise everything you're likely to need is present. Limited TV channels but that's not really why you visit the Dales!
The other 9 for local amenities is down to location - plenty of choice of pubs but everything else is a car trip away realistically. Again, not a huge issue, and likely to be similar anywhere in the Dales, but the nearest shops of any kind are 3 miles away in Grassington. Nearest supermarket 12+ miles away in Skipton.
Would definitely recommend Topham's Laithe, but do be aware of the above. If those aren't a problem for you, then there's no reason I can think of not to stay.
