Be very careful! Our studio room (premium studio) had no window….. zero view! There were a couple of small windows in the bathroom. We complained and they said almost all studios had no windows. They ended up moving us to another room with a window the second night which was quite acceptable. I know it sounds too weird to be true, but we are not kidding.

Amazing weekend away
Great location walking distance from great food market Lau Pa Sat. Two train stations 5 min walk away and only 20 min walk to Marina Bay Sands. Room was extremely comfortable and breakfast had good selection. The infinity pool is a great addition too!

This is a high end hotel and our expectations were exceeded! Great service from the staff, especially Chris when we checked in and everyone one else along the way. We spent Christmas there and they had caroling in the lobby for us. The view from our room was spectacular. We booked a two bedroom suite that had a kitchen, sitting area, dining area, two bedrooms and bathrooms. Thy have an infinity pool outside that also has a view of the harbour, too. Our stay was quite expensive for our budget but well worth the money we spent. The hotel is not in the touristy part of town so there isn't too much within a short walk, but the hotel staff was happy to call us a taxi any time we needed it. I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a high end, memorable experience in Sinapore.

The room that they provided us on the 31st floor was superb, everything in the room was perfection including the cleanliness. The room is very modern and not outdated, what you see online is what you get. They go above and beyond with the services they offered. Staff was very friendly and approachable, we arrived early and they even let us use their shower room to freshen up. The pool area is spacious, relaxing and comfortable. We can’t wait to go back and take our kids here, defo worth every money.

Rooms at the Dao are apartment like and very well appointed. Nice and quiet, very clean, good housekeeping service. Thought it would have been nice to have some western hot breakfast options and was a bit disapointed that wasn't allowed to just grab a coffee and pastry to go? Not much outside space to use and if you did use the pool area it was very noisy with a lot of construction work taking place very close by.

房間非常之大,非常寬敞,有家的感覺,設施齊全(房間裏)周圍也是核心的地方,非常方便!唯一要批評的,酒店內的設施太少,感覺上員工不足,晚上有時候打電話沒人接聽。總體來說如果一家四口以上,這個是一個不錯的酒店選擇,這酒店比較像是一個酒店式公寓和交通環境非常方便!

I was hoping to like this property. However I booked the highest grade of 1 br and requested away from lift and no interconnecting doors, the Premier category is next to lift and has interconnecting doors. They offered to down grade me to avoid this. There s so many little annoying things, it takes a fist to reception to find out the oven is also a microwave, you have a ding table for 4 bit only provide cutlery, glasses and plates for 2. The room safe doesn't fit a laptop or iPad, the USB next to the bed doesn't charge, you have to use the USB next to the TV for that ! when queried and they sent a technician the answer was to put a sticker above the USB port cannot be used for charging. Powerpoints are not universal as with most modern accommodation (reception did provide a power convertor when requested) This is new property - seriously ! The location is a 10 minute walk from China town and lots of good restaurants and the hawker centre is a few minutes down the road with the nightly Satay Street (highly recommended).

Stayed in a deluxe apartment (one bed room) (Room No. 2614) Rooms for improvement: 1) Position of shower head is quite awkward. 2) Found black stain in room's washing machine. Clothes has a stable smell after washing. Washing powder provided was of a lower graded. Failed to see much bubble during washing. 3) Fridge has a stench. 4) Requested to borrow a pot via hotel app but it was not sent to our room. 5) Hotel app to reserve facility is not working properly. Need to refresh numerous times before the page appears. 6) No Operating instructions found in the room. The operating manual available in the apps is for other brands. What is good: 1) Prompt service to replace faulty TV when we check-in to our room. 2) Very good service provided by room service (special thanks to house keeping lady taking care of Level 26 during our stay 27-29 Dec) 3) Room is clean. 4) Order food delivery late in the evening. A very gesture from one of the hotel staff who specially helped to send the delivery directly to our room.

As a serviced apartment, it really mey all the criteria... comfortable living space, adequate kitchenette, amenities provided such as toiletries, comfortable bathrobes, appliances for a longer stay. The bed was firm but creaked a bit. Really value for money, especially given the location. There was an overwhelmingly masculine scent though permeating throughout the reception area. The reception area was also a little cramped and cluttered but otherwise it's a good place to stay and we would recommend it for friends wanting the conveniences of a serviced apartment for their trip.

Will Come Back!
From the moment you exit the lift to the lobby, the staff will be there to guide you with the check in process. They are well-trained, attentive and definitely provided a warm welcome. The room was spacious, has a pleasant view and was very well equipped! Did I mention a rice cooker? Definitely a place to go if you want to do a potluck or DIY dinner party! The only con here was that they were fully booked, supposedly, and was unwilling to give a late check-out of even an hour… but other than that, everything’s good!

No Guaranteed Hotels.com Booking at Hotel Checkin.
When we arrived with a Hotels.com guaranteed booking we were told they did not have the booking and the hotel was full. The Oakwood wanted us to leave and find out from Hotel.com what the problem was. We demanded a room and were eventually give a different room. The showers did not work well, the drains had a smell and it was impossible to adjust the AC which would go 3 degrees C above or 3 degrees below the set temp. This resulted in continual nasal issues. The paid for breakfast was the choice of two breakfasts for the three week stay. Some of the issues were COVID driven but the services was shoddy and the Hotel run down. Not a bad stay but not the Five Star we paid a premium for.

Great overall, but cleanliness could be improved
Stayed for about 3D2N, stayed in the 1 Bedroom Executive Apartment on the 13th floor...would request for a higher floor next time for a better view. The pool was great, and the staff were very helpful, friendly and proactive whenever we interacted with them. Cleanliness of the room was questionable though, we found rocks and random rubbish left by previous guest in the top drawer of the TV console, kitchen counters clearly had not been wiped down, and some of the utensils was dirty. I think one thing this apart-hotel could improve on would be to have guide booklets in the room, for guests to have information on amenities (eg, pool/gym/restaurant at which floor etc.) and room appliances manuals (how to use the washer/dryer/stove/stereo/oven etc.). Will definitely consider staying again, just to give it another chance.
