Our room (33) was very good - spacious with an excellent en suite. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional (especially Sue at breakfast). We didn’t use it but there’s a lovely big swimming pool

The hotel is a little tired around the edges and could do with renovation perhaps, but the staff are polite, the location is great and the pool a welcome distraction!

Returning at 10.30 pm there was no available parking due to an outside booking. Excellent reception staff ,- especially the one who moved her car to provide a space for me. Floors not hoovered, faux leather chair split, paint peeling from ceiling, hairs in bath and on tiles.

Birthday Weekend away..
The staff were brilliant, they couldn't do enough for us.. we we're on a birthday weekend, reception and dining room staff were brilliant.. Pool and sauna were good. Wouldn't hesitate recommending staying there again.. And Shaftesbury was lovely..

A great find for business trips
Spotless room, v comfortable bed, swimming pool was clean, thoroughly enjoyed my one night stay. I did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the food.

Excellent venue for family reunion
Excellent faciliities. We enjoyed having the swimming pool. The bedroom and bathroom was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Staff were very helpful, both on Reception and in the breakfast area. The breakfast menu was great . Car parking was sufficient. There was no traffic noise and the grounds were attractive and well kept.

WiFi useless very poor signal whoever you tried it. and unsecured network so unable to use for business. Shower not working properly scalding or freezing. No inbetween. Tv hit and miss works sometimes not others. Looks a bit run down from outside. But inside was clean. Evening meal was very good. But full English breakfast was sub standard. I sausage without taste 1 rasher of overcooked bacon 1 mushroom with no taste whatsoever half a small tomato and 2 poached eggs (as requested.)One cooked to solid the other undercooked and slimy. The black pudding was the size of a 50ppeice and tasted like it had been cooked in engine oil. The toast and has browns were great. The coffee was from a multi use machine and was foul. It was so bitter I couldn’t drink it. Saying that the staff I encountered were excellent. Would I stay again? No not at that price.
