Some things worked well - registration prior to check in, good entry door access codes, quiet location and a very comfortable bed - but behind the veneer of a refurbished apartment a lot needs to be improved.
The apartment owners use AI by means of instant communication. Nothing wrong with that if it’s followed up with personal service when you raise complaints, and doesn’t just regurgitate your issue as though it will instantly resolve it, which was what we experienced.
We were on the ground floor which means you do hear the door (this is not people being noisy per se, it’s just a heavy door) and there is a complete lack of natural light (indeed the bedroom window looks into the central courtyard / entranceway. I raised straight away that there is severe lack of storage (one very flimsy ikea frame and two very small ikea storage boxes). Consequently we had to put clothes on a window sill and other random places. AI chat bot suggested this would be rectified during our stay but it was not. There are no clothes hooks for coats and only one small mirror in the bathroom.
Other things that were odd were that you could hear when another flat (presumably those above) were running water (it actually sounded like water running in your apartment and I was woken up by this every morning). Perhaps the most frustrating though is a roof top pool with metal beds and no seat pads. This wasn’t rectified until 3 days after I raised the complaint.
