«Stayed solo in a basic room for a June conference at Oaklawn Park. Within walking distance of Oaklawn Park and Waffle House. Conveniently located on Central Avenue/Highway 7, a short distance from downtown (North), and shops, stores and the 70 Bypass/ MLK Expressway (South). Newer facility with everything in the room being new, clean and in working order, and it is a gated facility with a gate code for entry into the inn grounds and a room code for entry into the room. «The room was clean, linens clean. Curtains adequately blocked outside lighting at night. Staff were friendly. Plenty of amenities for taking care of yourself in terms of access to food and refreshments. Grocery and other stores within a couple of minutes' drive. Valet team was one of the best I've experienced. In true casino fashion, the smell of smoke hits you upon entrance, but the hotel part was smoke-free. Elevators were quick. Enjoyed an evening of gaming entertainment during the stay.»

«This was a great place to stay for a trip to dig for diamonds. We called ahead to have extra washcloths put in our room and they had it all ready to go when we arrived. It was very clean. The pool was nice to relax in after digging. The staff was always friendly and helful! Would stay again. Plenty of room for luggage, plenty of plug ins, and chairs outside door to sit.»
