«I agree with a review that called this place a step below a B&B and a step above a hostel. If you have to have AC this is not a place for you! Either I overlooked this or based on reviews, I determined I could live without AC in the month of September. Overall, I (age 60, solo traveler) was satisfied with my stay in Sept 2026. This place has its regulars. It served as a good base camp, and not a place I hung out during the day. Fans were available in bedrooms and you could open windows, ...

«Host was very responsive and attentive to our requests. A/C unit worked well & the place was clean and very spacious, even for 5 ppl. We stayed here two days to explore Haleakala sunrise and the road to Hana. Location, which is the beginning of upcountry, was perfect.Things to note: We knew the fridge was only a mini fridge, but that was just too small for 5 of us to store food.»

«My family's (wife, young son, and I) stay here was extremely pleasant. We started off not knowing which building our stay was in, as there are multiple buildings on the property. We happened to be in the last building (T). I may have missed that somewhere, but we contacted Ana the host and she helped us out instantly.Overall, the place has everything we could ask for (with the exception of an elevator). The location is on the second floor so we had to carry up our luggage, however the ...
