«The property owner had his maid write a hand note telling us to pay water and electricity and debated with us prior to leaving as I speak Wolof the native language of Senegal. NO WHERE ON THE LISTING does it state you have to pay for such basic things that you’d think comes with a villa… maybe he only tried to get me to do this who knows because I read reviews before booking. I made sure to take a picture of the note. Nice space otherwise and could use some air fresheners in the bathrooms.»

«I had to clean the room myself, and bedding were offered to be changed only once in the week. Water in the bathroom strangely stopped and led to usage of a bucket instead. Insects were found in the bathroom and the manager explained it was because he has put a pesticide, so it was normal. All this in top of paying the bill for hydro used in the room (information provided after the room is rented and this is non refundable.
