A great cottage in a great location
We had a great time at this house - it was convenient to Reykjavic, Golden Circle, Inside the Volcano, Reykjadalur hike, Selfoss and more. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our own meals and we loved the hot tub after long days hiking and exploring the area.

Great base call for the Golden circle
This was a great house for trips to the Golden circle, and one longer drive to Vik. The kitchen was nice and functional, and or two kids liked their room. You can see the mountain and the power plant from the room, we never managed to your the power plant, next time... Checking in and out requires walking or running to the house if you don't have a means of texting in Iceland. This would normally be fine, but it was a rainy and windy day, so it added a bit of discomfort. Not an issue if you can message in Iceland though. Very thorough home manual, covers every aspect of the house.

Winter Time in Iceland
Located centrally in Golden Circle Area 90 minutes from Keflavík this was a great place to stay. Really enjoyed the Hot Tub, Fire Place and well provisioned kitchen!!

Honeymoon/Vacation in January
We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin. It was perfect in everyway. The owners of the property were amazing to deal with and answered all my questions. The cabin was perfectly located. We were about a 15 minute drive from Selfoss and it was the perfect location to visit through the Golden Circle and Southern Iceland. We had such a great time that we will be returning with the kids next year for them to experience what we saw. The cabin had everything we needed as well. We mainly ate at the house so it was important to us that it had some staple items for the kitchen. The beds were comforatable and honestly it was easy to get out of the property and back in. The best part is that they give you a cell phone to use during your stay. This allows you to enter and exit the property easily. I know the owners have a couple more properties and I will keep them in mind for our next trip. You will definitely not go wrong by staying at this property.

Beautiful cabin, well equipped with everything you could possibly need. We saw the northern lights from the hot tub which was amazing and enjoyed cosy nights in watching films on the projector which was a lovely touch. Would absolutely recommend to anyone wanting a perfect base for exploring the golden circle and south coast of Iceland.

Great Cabin and Fab Hot Tub
We had a great stay at the cabin. The pictures don't do it justice. It was very cold with lots of snow during our visit, but the cabin was lovely and warm at all times. The hot tub is very easy to use and the kitchen has lots of supplies and cooking basics. Highly recommended.

Everything you need
The house was well equipped with everything we needed and all of the instructions were clear. This was our second trip to the same area so we stayed at the house to relax mostly and it was just what we were looking for. Very comfortable. The hosts accommodated us on an earlier check in, which was great. The location is remote enough to feel alone but about 15-20 minutes north of Selfoss, which provides everything you’ll need. Don’t hesitate to stay

A very comfortable cabin in a wonderful location
A super comfortable cabin, with everything provided that you could need and a great hot tub. The owners go to great length to ensure visitors have detailed information about everything in and about the property. The cabin is very well equipped, and the owners provide free loo rolls, washing powder, softener and dishwasher tabs. Very useful and thoughtful. The location is amazing. Quiet, peaceful, lovely views, and close to many wonderful places and activities. We were in the hot tub most evenings and saw fantastic northern lights displays on 4 of our 9 evenings there, which was such a treat. In case you, like me, are fussy about your mattress - the beds are very supportive, soft and comfy. We both slept really well, even though we have quite different preferences for mattress firmness. The settee is also comfy and converts into a double bed for lazy times watching films on the cabin's drop-down large screen, which we certainly took advantage of after busy days out walking, sight seeing, snorkelling and kayaking, and before jumping into the hot tub for late evening lights. Netflix and Disney are provided, with a great sound system. Overall, we had a fantastic 10 day stay. We fell in love with Iceland and plan to be back soon.

Cozy cabin, great location
The cabin was perfect for our stay in The Golden Circle and all the places we wanted to visit were easily accessible. The cabin was really well equipped and we cooked there every evening. The hot tub was a bonus and it was lovely to come back and relax in the evening after long days out seeing the sights. We would definitely stay here again if we returned to Iceland.

Nice location, well organized
Owner provided lots of detailed instructions to make the most of the property. Location is convenient for sites and the property matched the description. Only complaint was that it hadn't been cleaned when we arrived. He sent the cleaners over. They didn't touch the kitchen, but it could have been awkward for them with us already partially moved in. All in all, we would be happy to return

Perfekte Unterkunft
es war ein sehr schönes und geräumiges Haus. Die Einrichtung sehr geschmackvoll und gemütlich. Highlight war natürlich der Hot-Tube, der Kamin und der Beamer (super Lösung damit kein Fernseher rumsteht). Das Haus war mit allem ausgestattet was benötigt wird. Die Betten waren sehr komfortabel (sehr gut geschlafen). Die Umgebung traumhaft und alles was man sehen sollten relativ nah. Einzige Mankos waren der Grill (da wollte man nicht wirklich eine Wurst o.ä.) grillen und die kleine Dusche. Ist aber meckern auf hohem Niveau

Perfect location
This cabin was the perfect spot for our family (married with two teens). We are more interested and seeing the natural wonders a country has to offer and so therefore this cabin’s location was optimal. 20 minutes from Selfoss (quaint town with great coffee spot (Konungs Kaffi) and bed dinner (Tryggvaskali). Made traveling the Golden Circle and to the South Coast much more convenient than staying in Reykjavík. The cabin, itself, was clean and well stocked. It was extremely comfortable after long days of hiking and exploring. We bought danishes (in Reykjavík) and skyr yogurt and a few other breakfast items to keep breakfast more economical. If our family ever travels to Iceland again (which we might because it was such an amazing experience), I will definitely see if this cabin is available!

Cozy little get away

Fabulous Christmas Away
Great place for the five of us. All the facilities are good. The views and feeling of being in the wild is fantastic . We had a small problem with the toilet freezing up, the host sorted this quickly and we were able to keep things going with hot water. It was -21 degrees at one point. Hot tub was fantastic and easy to use. We recommend!!!!!

We had a Wonderful Week, but...
First I will say Iceland is wonderful country with some truly beautiful views . Everyone we encountered was very kind. We logged 1300+ miles during our stay and did everything we wanted and more... We were very pleased with the location of the cabin. It is a cute cabin and the hot tub was nice. Early in our stay, we encountered a clogged shower drain. We contacted the owners and were told a plumber would be out the following day to take care of it. We were out of town that day and night. We returned to the cabin and were still unable to use the shower. The couple times we did try, we had to manually plunge the shower with the toilet plunger. Debris was coming up into the shower and the whole situation, unfortunately, was just dirty and unacceptable so we stopped using it. I hope it can be repaired for future vacationers. Thank You...

Perfect location!
The cabin is a great spot to explore Iceland from, we easily travelled the Golden Circle and to Diamond Beach. The views from the cabin are beautiful, and the hosts are excellent and responsive. So many personal touches in the cabin, we would highly recommend this location.

Ein unvergesslicher Urlaub
Wir haben die Zeit in der Kabine sehr genossen. Vor allem der Hot Tub würde sehr oft genutzt und ist ein großer Pluspunkt. Auch an Küchenutensilien war alles vorhanden was man benötigt. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war hervorragend. Generell war es ein unvergesslicher Urlaub in einer tollen, sehr empfehlenswerten Unterkunft.

A recommander
Nous avons passé un bon séjour dans cette propriété d'aspect rustique. Celle-ci est conforme à la description, bien équipée et située au calme. Les lits sont confortables et le projecteur est un plus. Nous n'avons pas pu profiter du hot tub à l'extérieur en raison de la météo mauvaise. Petit bémol pour la cabine de douche, petite et vieillotte (mais fonctionnelle). L'emplacement est idéal pour visiter le Cercle d'or. En juillet, les alentours étaient infestés de milliers de mouches, très désagréables. La communication avec le propriétaire, Erlingur, était parfaite et il était très arrangeant pour organiser l'arrivée et le départ aux heures qui nous convenaient le mieux, ce qui est très appréciable. Bref, une location à recommander sans hésiter.

Wir fühlten uns sofort zuhause. Weil etwas müde haben wir die cabine nicht gleich gefunden aber Erlingur, immer für Fragen iffen, hat uns via Handy gut hingeleitet. Die Landschaft ringsum ist ein Traum hier ist noch einiges im Entstehen aber dvon bekommt man nicht viel mit. Die meiste Zeit hört man nur die Natur. Als Ausgangspunkt für einige der tollen Sehenswüdigkeiten ist dieser Ort ideal. Þingvellir liegt quasie um die Ecke um nur eines zu nennen. Den Hot Tub haben wir auch genossen, Handhabung auch sehr einfach. Da wir mit schönem Wetter gesegnetwaren haben nur ein paar Liegestühle gefehlt. Man kann ja aber auch die Terasse nutzen. Wir würden auf jedenfall wierder dort Station beziehen wenn wir nach Island fliegen.

Perfect little cabin within the Golden Circle
This Versalir Cabin is conveniently located about 10-15 minutes outside Selfoss in the Golden Circle area. Short drives to Kerid Crater and Thingvellir National Park, and approximately and hour drive to Skoggafoss. The cabin itself was cozy with all the comforts of home. The hot tub and fireplace were nice touches which we used on separate nights. The cabin is located in a small private road with gate entry. When first arriving you need to contact the host who promptly opened the gate remotely for entry. I communicated through the VRBO app. Once inside the home there is a remote available for use during the stay for the gate. There are maybe 20 homes on the street, but significantly spaced out, not like traditional North American homes so you feel like you have your own space. I would highly recommend this for groups of 1-4 persons.

Perfect location
We enjoyed this house so much! It was the perfect location. It was about an hour from the city which was not bad. Selfoss was only 18 minutes away which was good for grabbing food. It was within good range of popular tourist sites also. The best part was the norther lights were viewable from the house each night! If we ever come back to Iceland this is where we would stay. I can not recommend this enough! The hosts were great with helping prior to arrival with answering questions since we had never been to Iceland.

Just wow! And read the handbook!
This might be one of my favorite properties yet. It was very clean, well-stocked, tons of windows, and an amazing wood stove for extra heat. The owners gave specific driving directions, with landmarks, which were exactly on point, and a 40 page handbook with details on everything from trouble shooting the radiators to using the stove. Seriously, we couldn’t have survived without it. We were 3 adults, who each had travelled to Iceland previously, and a seven year old on his first visit. The location away from everything was relaxing and provided for excellent Northern Lights viewing. We liked being away from the “hustle and bustle” of Reykjavik, and with Selfoss a 20 minute drive, we were able to shop for food and gas. Communicating with the owners was very easy, and they always responded quickly. An easy 5 stars, and bookmarked for our next Iceland trip!

Amazing Stay In Selfoss
The location is in a quite area a few minutes drive from Selfoss. Erlingur was great with communication and made arrangements so we could check in early due to the snow storm. Highly recommend staying at this property for your stay in Selfoss.

The house is lovely, and cozy. Sitting in the hot tub looking at a sky full of stars was definitely a highlight of the trip. It is a great central location, quiet, and peaceful. Wonderful cabin - Perfect location for exploring south and west Iceland!
First of all, the property owners are fantastic! Communication was thorough throughout the entire booking process. We had a slight issue with the heating when we arrived at the cabin (our fault, not theirs) and the owner got back to us immediately with our questions. This is a cozy, warm, lovely property with all the amenities you could want during your Icelandic vacation. The Selfoss location is perfect for exploring the south and west Icelandic coasts. It's actually a much better base than Reykjavik for exploring those areas unless you're planning to take tours most of the time as most of the tours depart from the city. We rented a car at the airport and explored on our own - which is relatively easy to do as it's not difficult to find your way around the areas. Google maps works great - online and offline! We woke up every morning to watch the beautiful Icelandic horses in the field across the way. The property is in a small well-kept, quiet rural development and there is a house next door (not too close) but there is still lots of privacy to enjoy the amenities. Loved the large projection screen in the living room for watching Netflix, You Tube movies after a long day exploring. Grocery shopping, gas, etc. is easily accessible in downtown Selfoss about 15 minutes from the cabin. The owners have a couple of other cabins for rent and we will definitely be contacting them again for our next stay in magnificient Iceland!

Heaven on Earth
This is our second time staying at this beautiful cabin outside of Selfoss! Can’t say enough about this place and the amazing hosts. Clean, well appointed, & the projector screen is a plus! Our favorite spot to stay in Iceland!!!

Gute Wahl für Ausflüge im Süden
Das Objekt liegt perfekt um diverse Unternehmungen in Süden zu starten. Die Ausstattung ist gut, die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter perfekt. Kleine Probleme wurden unkompliziert, sehr freundlich und schnell beseitigt.

Das Haus liegt optimal im Golden Circle.
Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man so braucht. Die Lage ist perfekt, um von dort alle Sehenswürdigkeiten ( im Golden Circle) mit Tagesausflügen zu sehen. Abends kann man sich dann im Hot Pot entspannen. Ich würde es beim nächsten Mal wieder buchen.

Amazing Iceland
This cabin was clean and cozy! It was in a good location for our day trips south and East. We were hesitant to use the washer and hot tub as they were quite confusing after reading the manuals. Perhaps our host showing us would have been better, but we were so busy. I’m sure they would have helped if we asked. A lovely quiet place!

Perfektes Ferienhaus
Das Haus ist super ausgestattet und entspricht genau der Beschreibung. Es ist alles vorhanden was man braucht. Dank des Beamers im Wohnzimmer und dem Jacuzzi auf der Terasse kann man auch mal einen Tag mit 90 Liter Regen verschmerzen :)
