«The reason I haven’t scored 5 is that Expedia sold us a room that had issues with noise / cooking smells as it’s above the kitchen and is noisey and smelly when the staff are cooking. We stayed in a room named Helvellyn and Expedia didn’t state any issues with any rooms. If we had booked direct with the queens head it details the room helvellyn as having issues with noise etc due to it’s proximity to the kitchen. I think Expedia have been misleading not detailing the facts about that particular ...

«Vi bodde her én natt som første stopp på turen vår til Lake District, og kunne ikke valgt et bedre sted å starte. Flott beliggenhet, både idyllisk og sentralt. Personalet var veldig hyggelige og hjelpsomme, og den tilhørende puben hadde god mat, veldig god frokost og skikkelig god kaffe. Et sted med hyggelig atmosfære som vi gjerne kommer tilbake til.»

«Lovely room. We booked the dog friendly room and we had dog bowls, and a doggy treat pack including toy, treats & poo bags. Nice little touch! Great food as always, lovely full English breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Would definitely recommend.»

«Our room in the coach house was compact but was very clean, had everything we needed and overall satisfactory. Our room faced the main road so lots of traffic noise. The shower room window had clear glass & faced the car park with only a blind for privacy. Last time we stayed we were in a larger quieter Lapwing room which for us was better. Breakfast was very good food & service. All staff attentive, willing & helpful. Would stay again but aim for Lapwing upgrade.»

«We just stayed four nights at this hotel. We enjoyed the location of the property—not to far from Leyburn, Hawes, or Grassington. Good location for short and long walks or hikes. You can walk to the falls from the hotel, and there are footpaths if you want to walk to all three falls. That was fun. Just a quick drive to visit Bolton Castle—worth the visit. We enjoyed the breakfasts—nice selection of pastries, cereals and fruit. And, the selection of hot items on the breakfast menu was ...
