Upon our arrival, we found the house to have no power. It was 30 degrees in Seattle, wet and rainy, the house had no heat. I called the host, Alexis, only to have him tell me that the house is old, the breaker box turns off and asked me to start trouble shooting to fix the problem. Only half of the house regained power. This home is so old, there is no central heat, no insulation. The house was 49 degrees and freezing. The owner put a wall heater in each bedroom and only a small space heater you have to plug in the living room. The bathroom, kitchen and dining did not have heat. The owner asked if we wanted to cancel, as he could not get an electrician to the house until the next day. We could not stay here, this home is unfit and unsafe. We said we need to cancel, and we left and had to find another hotel to stay at. Now, the owner is going back on his word, he states there is power there and will not refund us. I have escalated with VRBO, with no help. Another factor, the driveway is on a very busy road, you cannot see to pull out. Someone has to jump out, direct traffic and jump back in the car and hopes no one hits you in order to back out, so unsafe. This whole experience was terrible, I cannot get my money refunded as we didn't even stay there. RENTER BEWARE!!
