Tastefully appointed ocean front home with dramatic ocean views

Berk: Unit 35E Lot 68. This is a spacious home with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The first level includes a bedroom with one queen bed as well as a room with two twin beds and both bedrooms share a bathroom with a walk-in shower. The half bathroom is located on the second level landing which is also the level the master bedroom is on. The master bedroom has a king bed, gas fireplace and attached bathroom with a walk-in shower and separate soaking tub. A couple steps up is the dining, living and kitchen with sweeping ocean views, large decks, large window seats. The *new* hot tub (installed November 2025) is on the deck overlooking ocean.

SEA RANCH AND SONOMA COUNTY GUIDELINES
Drones are strictly prohibited in The Sea Ranch.
Quiet hours must be observed between 9pm and 7am every day.
No outdoor amplified sound is allowed at any time day or night.
Maximum number of vehicles at house shall be 3 (three), with a 2-car garage available. No RV's

The house was beautiful and functional, and the location couldn't be beat. I've also rented through Vacasa before when visiting Sea Ranch, and found this rental experience much easier. Our visit aligned with the very strong storm conditions this winter, which led to a blackout (of no fault of the rental agency, of course), but they remained responsive to helping us sort through issues that arose during the outage/over the holiday.

The house and the location are just stunning. This was one of the most serene places we've ever stayed. Happy to report that the complaints (which did make us a little apprehensive about this place) were either unfounded or addressed by the owners: - Kitchen was well stocked: pots, pans, utensils--you can cook a modestly-ambitious meal here. The bad: the spices were scant, and the pop-up toaster didn't work (but they have a toaster oven/air fryer!). - House overall was in great shape. Some reviews made it sound dingy, but that was not our experience. There are some nitpicks, but overall very clean and well kept. We saw a few ants, but not enough to worry about at all. - Hot tub worked perfectly. I think we'll be back. The location is unbeatable; it feels like you have the whole shore to yourself. We walked for 2 hours and only saw 3 people. Maybe that's our reward for staying on a weekend with rain in the forecast. Views of the ocean are unobstructed. There's a cluster of large rocks 100ft or so off shore that attracts birds and produce big sprays of water, and you can sit anywhere in the living room and watch. The house is on the northern end of sea ranch, so you can get into Gualala in a few minutes for groceries, dinner, etc.

Wonderful home

My wife and I have been spending our anniversaries at Sea Ranch for the last 34 years. We have stayed in a number of different oceanfront homes. This home has a spectacular view of the ocean and evening sunsets. Beds and bedding were very comfortable. Kitchen for the most part was well stocked. A few missing items like a can opener and better wine opener would be expected. I also recommend having a broom and some cleaning products available so guests can keep up on regular cleaning throughout their stay. We would recommend this home for a larger group. It was a big home for two of us but we enjoyed every inch.

Nice Weekend getaway

We had a very relaxing stay at Berk. Very nice location. House is comfortable and cozy and access to the bluffs and trail is unparalleled. We would love to come back another time!

Nice roomy open home. View of ocean was wonderful. Great for our family.

Clean, open, and rooms all had great views of the ocean. We have been going to Sea Ranch for some 30 years and this was one of the best places we have stayed at. Had a bad experience with security and Ocean View Property personnel over nothing. Not helpful in time of need for us. May prevent us from going back there.

Wonderful House

The pictures don’t do this house justice. There is a view from every room. You can see the whales (on a clear day) from the kitchen. Amazing views. Amazing hot tub views. 10/10 this house had everything we wanted in a rental.

Amazing location on the bluff trail

Beautiful location and very spacious and well laid out house for our family. Could see whales from the deck. Being right on the bluff trail was convenient to a nice walk and also close to town. House was a bit dated and got very hot despite keeping shades closed in the afternoon hence one star less. But overall a great stay in TSR!

The Perfect Reading Nook

Very comfortable

The views are amazing. Beds and great room furniture comfortable. We were a three-generation group and the configuration of the bedrooms was perfect for us. DO remember to bring: all condiments, spices, plastic baggies, auto dish soap, hand dish soap, all personal bathroom supplies except bar soap, an extra roll of paper towels (one supplied but no napkins). The kitchen has lots of pots/pans, tons of dishes, very few glasses so these we washed by hand so they could be reused. Enjoyed the beach and basically had it to ourselves.

Great location for peace and solitude

Beautiful home in beautiful location right on the bluff overlooking the ocean. Great place to spend a week while also sheltering in place. The home is a little worn but was very comfortable. WiFi signal is ok in living room, but very week in other parts of the house, so keep this in mind if you are planning to work remotely. Each bedroom has fantastic light and ocean views. Strong ocean winds and bright afternoon sunlight (that heats the house) are somethings you have to contend with so just know that is what you are signing up for. Bring warm clothes if you sit outside and close the blinds in the afternoon to keep the house cool! The bluff trail was amazing, providing a scenic and easy trail along the ocean. 1 mile North you can access a sandy beach to walk on. So many sea birds to watch and deer grazing in the field. And so many puzzles! Definitely recommend.

Whales out your window

We came here to celebrate our son's first birthday. The whales were migrating and we saw them out the window every single day, looking up from doing dishes or making dinner. We'd fall asleep on the wide, comfy window seats staring at the stars. We'd walk for miles every day out the front door and along the bluff trail. (You can walk easily all the way to Gualala Beach). Excellent for children, excellent for adults. We stayed cozy with the automatic fire places. We cooked every night in the well stocked kitchen. This is a beautiful, easy to be in home. We will absolutely come back.
