Steps off the Bluff Coast Trail where you can walk the Pacific Coast and even observe harbor seal pups at Tide Pool Beach, The Bluff House sits surrounded by lush meadows and expansive ocean views.



The Space:

This stunning home was designed to mirror the natural beauty of Sea Ranch, while the mid-century modern interior is immaculately kept for a luxurious stay right off the ocean. The home’s main living area has a spacious, open concept layout with high ceilings and the unimpeded ocean views of breaking waves that are a signature of the home. Modern couches and window seating wrap around the mounted smart tv. The main level of the home has an additional living space with seating and smart tv for a separate gaming area or more private tv viewing. Back in the main living area, the fully equipped kitchen will inspire culinary masterpieces which can be enjoyed casually at the barstool seating area, formally at the dinner table with seating for 6, or outdoors on the ocean-facing patio.



A variety of furnishings fill the outdoor patio so that whether you’re lounging in the sun, having your morning coffee, or sharing a meal, you can make the most of the ocean air and stunning views. An outdoor grill is provided, and a front private hot tub rounds out this idyllic outdoor space.



This home comfortably sleeps 6 guests in its 3 private bedrooms, each with soft linens and comfortable furnishings:



- Bedroom #1 is the primary suite with sweeping coastal views, king size bed, decorative wood stove, private balcony, and en suite bathroom with walk-in shower and separate soaking tub.

- Bedroom #2 has a queen size bed, clear ocean views, private desk area, and en suite bathroom with shower/tub combo.

- Bedroom #3 has bunk beds with a full size bed on top and bottom. Sliding glass doors provide a glimpse of the ocean and direct access to the meadow outside.



THINGS TO NOTE:

- The home has a total of 3 bathrooms, two are ensuite, and the third bathroom is shared with a walk-in shower.

- Very close to Gualala, only a 5 minute drive to groceries or restaurants.

- Del Mar pool is only 5 minutes walk away.

- Parking is available in the garage and driveway.

- Washer and dryer in unit.

- Downstairs fireplace is in working order. Upstairs fireplace is permanently out of order.

- There is a Ring Camera overlooking the entry way/front door area.



The Sea Ranch is a planned community with over 3000 acres featuring: The Historic Sea Ranch Chapel, The Sea Ranch lodge (restaurant and shopping), a 50-mile trail system with 6 public beach access points, dog park, and 3 recreation centers with outdoor pools, locker rooms, half-basketball court, and tennis courts (amenities vary with each center) for guest use. RV's, trailers, or mobile homes are strictly not allowed.



Other Things to Note:

This home will be stocked with a starter set of consumables such as soaps and paper products. Guests are advised to either bring or purchase additional after arrival.

We loved the house and had a great stay but there were a few issued that came up during our stay which are worth noting.--The checkout time is very early (10am). We were traveling with children, which makes an early checkout particularly difficult, and made multiple requests for a late checkout which were abruptly dismissed by the property manager with little sense of understanding. In addition, the cleaner was literally waiting across the street starting at 9:30am which made us feel very awkward as we were trying to vacate the unit by the required checkout time.--Both of the fireplaces are not functional. The one upstairs in the master bedroom has a sign saying not to use it, which was noted in the listing. But the one downstairs has no instructions, and we were not able to figure out how to turn it on. This was disappointing because it was part of the reason we chose to stay here.--The heaters do not seem to work. When you turn them on, either nothing happens, or they blow room-temperature air. I would be nervous to stay here during the winter.--We found a stack of unwashed bowls in the cabinet, which was pretty gross.Regardless of the above, we did have a good stay and I would recommend this house, particularly for the location. But given the problems noted above, I think that it should be priced a little lower, at least until they are addressed.

Stylish Coastal Retreat with Ocean Views

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful Sea Ranch home! The location is unbeatable—right by the ocean, with breathtaking views and peaceful surroundings. The architecture has an artistic touch, and the interior is tastefully decorated with stylish furniture and thoughtful details throughout.The house is very spacious, with three comfortable bedrooms and clean, well-appointed bathrooms. Check-in was smooth and hassle-free. The maintenance team was responsive and helpful whenever we had a request.The only thing we wish had been provided was a travel crib for our infant. Other than that, everything was great and we truly enjoyed our time here. Highly recommend for a serene coastal getaway!

Great Location - Beautiful Views

The location of this home cannot be beat. Despite the fierce winds during our stay, the patio facing the ocean is perfectly protected and we were able to spend a lot of time out there enjoying our coffee, wine etc. This was a pleasant surprise! The sun was warm in the protected space. The home is dated of course but that is to be expected in The Sea Ranch and we did not mind. The beds are comfortable with the exception of the bunk beds which I think might be futons and the bottom bunk is very low to the ground. Probably fine for kids but not for us older ladies. The home is adequately stocked for staying in and cooking most meals like we did.

Perfect stay in a perfect location

Our Stay at The Bluff House

Beautiful property situated in an ideal location. Honestly, the view was spectacular and the setting, ultra relaxing. We played tennis every day, the courts were in great condition with lots of availability. Our long weekend at The Bluff House was everything we were hoping for. Thank you!

Wonderful house, great location

This house is in beautiful condition and perfectly located on the waterfront, next to the Bluff Trail, and in walking distance to Del Mar Rec/Swim center. The kitchen is a bit cramped and could use more basic supplies (cooking oil??); dish & cookware is adequate. But this is a minor concern relative to the impeccable upkeep, beautiful space, gorgeous master suite, and excellent location. Also the hot tub was in good condition and very clean. My only real complaint is that the patio furniture was dirty when we arrived and we couldn't even find a rag to clean it with.

New Year's retreat

We had a wonderful week at this gorgeous property with our 2 daughters and their partners. The views were amazing and the bluff walks and runs were a highlight. Relaxing in the hot tub followed by family dinners built memories for a lifetime.

Short Getaway

The home's location was wonderful, just steps to the walking path that leads you up and down the breathtaking coast. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds comfortable. The bathrooms could be updated a bit, several towel bars were missing in the master room and there was no shower bath mats. One of the big master windows has moisture between the glass making it hard to see out. The main fireplace was not working despite the host saying it was in working order. The hot tub stayed at 101 never reaching 104 but it worked well enough the stars were amazing. Overall the home was nice, but some attention in a few areas is needed. Sea Ranch is a great area for peace and quiet. The sauna at the community pool area was wonderful.

Beautiful home right on the bluffs

This was a terrific place to stay -- really no complaints. The home was very clean, well set up and furnished (beds and furnishings are all comfortable) and the location could not be better in Sea Ranch. It is literally a 20 second walk to the bluffs. We come to Sea Ranch often (and stay in various homes) and I think this one is our new favorite. We will be back!

Fantastic experience!

My husband and I, together with two single friends, shared this home over the 4th of July weekend and it was fantastic. The house is spacious and extremely well stocked and it was in immaculate condition. And the location was perfect. Great setup for a large family or group of friends - would come back in a heartbeat.

The view was beautiful. Property management office is not well marked, fireplaces were broken, loud sloshing coming from the floor vents after we showered. Location was perfect, hot tub outside not facing the beach, the area is dark and the light was dim so being another light for the hot tub. Front door is hard to open.

Perfect house for quality time

The house is really special. Beautiful interior that is thoughtful and modern with spacious rooms that are great for socializing and spending time with friends or family! The best part is that you can see the water the whole time you’re inside. :-) Comfortable beds, equipped kitchen, stunning sounds and views. We also loved hot tub evenings and exploring all of the records in the main room! This is our new favorite house in Sea Ranch, and we will absolutely stay here again!

Paradise

This house was so perfect. It was the perfect size for our family, and ideally situated within Sea Ranch. Our kids loved playing in the main room and it was easy to watch them from the kitchen, and the upstairs suite has a spectacular view. Not many houses in Sea Ranch are this close to the water, so this was a real treat. Beaches are reasonable walking distance, which made for great outings. We loved it and would love to come back again!
