«Upon arrival at the Grantham Arms, we were welcomed warmly by staff. The atmosphere was friendly and cheerful on the Saturday before Christmas. Our room was well-appointed and very cosy. The decor was stylish and comfortable with plenty of cushions and good quality bed linen and towels. «Vi hadde to rom. Et ut mot hovedveien og et ut mot en sidevei. Det var ikke så mye støy fra disse. Et problem. En av rommene gikk det ikke an å åpne vinduet mer enm en liten glipe. Det var såå varmt. Smale men gode senger. Fantastisk frokost, selv om denne ble servert ferdig. Rommene var store og gode, inkludert badet. »

«This hotel & Spa is absolutely amazing, the staff were so attentive to our needs, I had booked this hotel for a treat for my family which they so enjoyed, the grounds are beautiful and the food is cooked from the best quality, yes, the spa is not huge when you compare this to other spa facilities but this gives this hotel spa the advantage of giving you space to enjoy the spa experience, would I travel to this hotel again, most definitely, worth every penny.»

«This was a lovely heritage property located about a 15 minute walk to the centre of York. Staff were very welcoming and the room was spotless and comfortable. (If stairs are an issue for you, there can be many depending on your room floor - just two into the house) Breakfast was delicious and we also enjoyed the communal sitting room and the private parking. Overall, a lovely stay with great value. »
